I know everyone is going hog wild over the draft and I don't really have a point really, just curious on what others think about him around here.
I see on the BBI depth chart he is listed as an Outside Linebacker. What do YOU think about that?
Good? Bad?
It's a one gap blitzing scheme so it should help him.

Did he do anything similar to this in Miami?
My gut tells me he’ll never be better than what we’ve seen, which is a really good run defender and a pretty decent pass rusher. But I hope he proves me wrong.
Hey, no doubt we overpaid for Solder...again the result of horrendous drafting. But what choice do we have?
He's had big parts of both years derailed, but he's been productive despite it.
He's the kind of guy if he plays 16 games, the numbers will jump off the page.
His injuries don't appear to be career altering, say like JPP's.
Eager to see how he adjusts to the OLB role, imo arrow is pointing up.
The "bad contract" argument is ill-informed fanboy nonsense. If his production doesnt improve this year he is very cuttable next offseason.
I think that he will have a good year. Time will tell.
Wouldn't it be better to hope that Vernon has a fantastic season? Call me crazy...but I would prefer to see Vernon here for the long haul. MAybe that cranks you up some but if Vernon is here for 2-3-4 years that tells me he's playing well.
You can win with "overpaid" players. Sometimes you have to overpay.
You couldn't be more wrong. Matter of fact I can't think of a more different kind of player to Osi than Vernon. But keep trying.

Of course it would be better if Vernon had a fantastic season. I'd love nothing more than 20 sacks and a defensive player of the year nod.
I'd rather live in reality though.
Overpaying for players is unsustainable and eventually bites you. It's biting us in 2018 with JPP's $15M in dead money, and my guess is it'll be biting us in 2019 with Vernon.
Last year the whole franchise was a disgrace- and he didn’t perform regardless of excuses and injury
If he performs this year- he was well worth it
