But Eli was the one I had seen the least of. I was really impressed with Roethlisberger vs Bowling Green in blizzard conditions and if you watched the Senior Bowl that year, Rivers was on a different level than everyone else on the field (the Chargers staff was coaching his side and that's when they fell in love with him). I'd never actually seen Eli play but trusted others in their judgment that he was the clearcut #1 pick.

I didn't want Rivers even for a second.
In the end though all three teams scored a franchise QB and wouldn't change a thing. Very rare for each guy to pan out like that.
Man, some of the greatest moments of my life have happened in the past 14 years, including those two Superbowls.
Now, the Chargees don't even want to play in San Diego.
Until I re read in "that time" I was thinking you did all of that on 4/24/04. I'd say that was an eventful day!
