Our future will be looking really bright. Stud RB, Stud WR, Stud TE, future stud QB in Webb, legit coach, rebuilt defense. New era of Giants football is upon us!
I was talking to a die hard Browns fan over the weekend and he said that Shurmer was the worst of the worst in coaches, so I'd say the jury is out on him as well.

Shurminator will go down as 3rd best HC after BP and TC. Our offense will put up 28+ points with Barkley, Beckham, Engram and Eli.
Amazing how a stud QB fell to the Patriots and the Seahawks too. Isn't it just amazing? How could that ever happen? It's just impossible. Well guess what, it DID happen and you will LOVE Webb.
This is a terrible post - Davis Webb is far from a sure fire stud QB. They need to take the QB they have rated the highest with this pick.
That couldn’t be more wrong if they don’t believe in them. If they loved one then fine do what you can to get him but to take one just to take one then we will be picking top five for years. Just like reaching for an ot because we needed one how’s that working out? This would be 100times worse
no one can really shit on Webb just like no one can praise him.
He's working his butt off and we'll know pretty quickly how the staff feels about him once the draft rolls around then they explain why they did or didn't feel it necessary to draft a QB.

I'll bet the Vikings fans have a totally different opinion of him.

And don't forget Shep!
Just need to upgrade that OLine too... it was good to see a pic today of Eli with an ear to ear smile standing next to his new best friend - Nate Solder. Best left tackle we have had in decades... Need to get lucky on Thursday and get a couple more for the right side of the line...

What if the Browns take the QB the Giants have rated highest? Does DG settle for sloppy seconds even if he isn't high on him just because he's a QB? I sure as hell hope not.
more than people who do this for a living. Webb is no more a mystery than any other QB in draft. We didn’t see him play last year because the GM and HC were idiots who were more worry about their jobs than the team

Yup, it will the next few years, if we are lucky we may win another one. Is it better to take Rosen and watch him play a few good games before Webb has to fill in because he takes another big hit?

There you go, take it from a Browns fan to tell us about what the worst looks like. Didn't they say that about Bill B when he was there too? How did that turn out for them getting rid of him?
Does anyone question Dallas selecting zeke at 4 anymore?
Fair question. But each draft is different in supply. That draft was really just a 2 QB draft - at the top - with Wentz and Goff. There was a big drop after those two. Although, if you recall, Dallas gave Paxton Lynch a long, long look...
So at #4 Zeke made more sense with so many pieces on offense in place.
They got Dak that year in the 4th round as a future developmental QB, which made sense with Wentz and Goff off the board.
Once Barkley is drafted at #2 he'll be a top 5 paid running back in the league without ever stepping foot on the the field. Great use of resources at a devalued NFL position with a now average to below average 37 year old qb being paid like a top 5 qb.
Barkley takes handoff and is immediately hit.....Eli fakes handoff and turns to look downfield, and all he sees is this huge behemoth about to lower the boom....
It's amazing how this OL is going to be fixed over night.....
First they put together one of the better offensive lines in the league. People here want to bypass building a line and go right to the running back.
Eric in his depth chart after Solder at LT has, left to right, Omameh, Jones, Halapio and Flowers. They’ve given up on Flowers. About the best Eric can say about any of the others is Omameh, respectable.
Even Gale Sayers couldn’t run for a good average if he’s getting hit before the line of scrimmage.
You can build a franchise around a quarterback but not around a running back. Barry Sanders. Adrian Peterson eight seasons with the Vikings (he missed 2014 with an injury. The Vikings made the playoffs four of the eight seasons, but in three of those they were one and out. In 2009 they were eliminated in the Conference Title game. That was also the season that Favre was the quarterback.
Bradys and Rodgers and Mannings and other QBs lift their teams to the Super Bowl.
I was talking to a die hard Browns fan over the weekend and he said that Shurmer was the worst of the worst in coaches, so I'd say the jury is out on him as well.
Line 1
It's Hue Jackson
BigBloue1013: Horses for courses. A Browns fan wouldn’t know a Â
got Gurley one year before they traded up for Goff
They also haven't won anything yet, so it's TBD whether it makes sense to build around a stud RB vs adding a stud RB as the final piece to a well-built roster.
teams have built around the run and won many, many times. Running the ball is not a one man show, but the better the back the better it works.
Building around the run is a proven form (although somewhat questionable in the modern pass-happy NFL). But there's a difference between building around the run and building around a particular RB.

True. I can't remember and too lazy to look but did Dallas pass on the DL that went to the Chargers? Bosa? I don't think they did....I know they passed on Ramsey. And he's excellent.
I guess you could second guess the pick even now plus Zeke is a future prison sentence waiting to happen if you believe the signs.
Gun to my head, if the Giants don't love the QBs I might be tempted to take Chubb and look to fix the running game in rounds 2-3--you could get a RB and two OL with good value there most likely.
LT Yeah we can agree on both .
Barkley is no lock if they like one of the QB's enough they will take one of them . I think if we don't trade down than it will be Barkley .
Oh contrare. Webb will go down as an all time QB steal just like Russell Wilson and Tom Brady. And we will owe it all to Jerry Reese in great irony!
Shurminator will go down as 3rd best HC after BP and TC. Our offense will put up 28+ points with Barkley, Beckham, Engram and Eli.
He may be very good in the short run, which I think is really the goal for Mara, but I think it's going to hurt the team in the medium and long run...
Taking a RB at #2 is just a poor investment.
Amazing how a stud QB fell to the Patriots and the Seahawks too. Isn't it just amazing? How could that ever happen? It's just impossible. Well guess what, it DID happen and you will LOVE Webb.
If only he could master taking snaps.

But there are plenty of guys drafted in later rounds who succeeded - I hope Webb is one of them, regardless of who we take Thursday night.

Because Rosen (brittle),Darnold (wind up delivery)and Josh Allen(inaccurate) are all sure things. Good one.

Here's a short list of HOF QBs that didn't set the world on fire, when they first came out (TDs/INTs stats) ...
Elway 1983-85; 7/14, 18/15/, 22/23
Aikman 1989-2000; 9/18, 11/18, /11/10
Bradshaw 1970-1972; 6/24, 13/22, 12/12
NOBODY was pounding down the door for them

Unless that rb is a game changing beast.

Name the Browns’ good coaches. Paul Brown? Joe Collier?

All three were #1 overall picks.
Can you just please try to not be wrong for once?
