Looking for recommendations for non touristy restaurants in Amsterdam. Not focused on a specific type of food, just ones that will have more locals than tourists. Any other guidance for the city will be appreciated.
The restaurant is outside of the city center, built around a green house they grow many of their ingredients in. One of the absolute best restaurants I’ve ever been to in my life.
Meat-centric restaurant with huge portions. In the center of the city where you'll likely find lots of tourists, but def worth it.
For lunch, walk the Albert Cuyp market in the De Pijp neighborhood and sample all the vendors. There is a stand of 2 egyptian (i think) brothers who make an amazing hummus and olive sandwich that was one of the best things i ate in the city.
If you're a foodie I would definitely go to East Amsterdam. More Brooklyn vibe, great ethnic food and best ice cream I've had in ages.
