disappointed in Snacks? He didn't show up last year either. Normally I wouldn't care as much but we're installing a new defense and trying to right the ship.
But it's too much trouble I guess for Snacks to show up. Never sits well when guys are making a fortune but decide not to show up to team-building events.

Leadership was questioned a lot last year and Snacks was very outspoken about people who questioned it. Now he doesnt show up? Heś a great player, but I dont think a leader is something he is interested in. I see Collins/Ogletree as the captains of the defense.

A little rust, maybe?
A real issue, maybe?
Let's wait to see what Shurmur sees over 3 days. If he and Shula really do not like what they see, a QB may well be the #1 spot on their board; then the who/,what it's will kick in.
I'll trust in the guys that wear the key sombreros to do what's best.
As for the writers, they write what/ how they see. Some are Uber Optomistic, some Debby Downer; it lets BBIers make discussion.
RE: I don't know what kind of QB Webb will be but,
that guy has been working his tail off. There's no denying his work ethic.
He should have a future in coaching. The concern I have with him is he is such a hard worker, and son of a football coach, and has quite a bit of experience yet he struggles with his mechanics and decision making. His deep ball accuracy is a concern as well.

Who'd of thought we might pine for the days of Gilbride?
Is Jonathan Stewart really an exemplar of RB longevity?
@TomRock_Newsday
Running backs dont last in the NFL? Don't tell #Giants newcomer Jonathan Stewart, who begins his 11th season in the league and would welcome imparting his advice for longevity to Saquon Barkley
That's nice, but Stewart has missed a lot of games in his career, and he has seldom carried the kind of workload that seems likely for Barkley.
That said, Stewart does seem like a pretty good mentor, if the Giants draft Barkley or another talented young RB. He's probably already slated for that role with Gallman and Perkins.

Jonathan Stewart just stone-handed a short pass over the middle from Eli Manning in 7-on-7. Then again, #Giants didnt sign him because of his pass-catching ability ...
There is plenty of value in this draft to take a running back in rounds 2-4. There is no need to take Barkley at #2, unless they think he is going to be Marshall Faulk.

Thats the point he is that level of RB and his prospect grade is better than even his was in some peoples minds.

that actual fans of the team are derided as being "Pro eli" or "Eli apologists", as if a fan really needs to apologize for any player they are rooting for, yet several posters exist with only a singular purpose - to shit on Eli.
sundayatone either signed up on BBI with the sole intent to tell the board how much eli sucks, or he's just a troll intentionally trying to litter the board.
I'll never get the motivation of those types of idiots
Pendant Alert:
In that context an "apologist" is someone who provides a case for something; not someone offering an excuse or saying "sorry"; or "apologizing" to use the vernacular. Those of us who attended Catholic school may have studied Aplogetics - learning arguments of those like St Thomas Aquinus intended to prove basic church beliefs and doctrine.
As an apologist, I can give you an argument defending Eli (and Davis) with facts and data; (and similarly an "argument" in that context does not mean a lot of anger and shouting).
