They have done a good job of not giving away this pick, while we know they love Barkley, nothing has really leaked about which QB they like, except we have all surmised that Darnold was safest.

hate to sound mean because she's attractive either way but I googled Ms. Russini because I had never heard of her and her name was on the ESPN boards that leaked things like "character concerns" etc and boy does she look different without the makeup. To let Darnold slip. They want Cleveland to believe if they take Darnold they will lose their man at 4. This has been a staring contest playing out for a while.

While it might be implied with the #2 pick overall, it certainly can be interpreted to be a QB at #2 and RB at #34. Then she can claim that she was right or her "sources" are legit.

I think if they want Chubb, there's going to be concern Chubb is picked if they move down, namely the Browns.

EITHER. QB or RB? Don't I feel great? So if the Browns take QB X, then the Giants go from drafting their QB to drafting their RB? I guess I could buy that. They may be sold on only 1 QB and pass on the rest, in which case, Barkley would be the best player available. So, if the Browns dont take the 1 QB the Giants wanted, Giants definitely go QB? I think if the Giants have only 1 QB THEY absolutely must get, we would be hearing aboutt the Giants trying to move to #1. Im not sold. I think QB is off the table at the 2nd pick. This team would have a hard time reaching 4 wins if they take a QB IMO.

This whole offseason has been about going the safest route.

GMs search? Bring back Gettleman.

Coaching search? Dabble with some names, float the Belichick dream, but go with Shurmur.

I see this draft the same way. Look at a franchise QB but there are risks. Look at Barkley as a running back who could wow you, but ultimately running backs are down on the list of critical positions. So you have a need on the DL. You almost can't go wrong picking one. Chubb is a pick with few flaws. I think that's the direction the Giants go.

And yes, she's pretty hot.

If you're building your draft board and your first pick are narrowed to 2 names imo

Barkley
The rest is dependent on the Browns
Also things can change on a trade option that comes up
But you do your due diligence and at this point have a board place.
They won't know their pick until the Browns pick

Browns: Darnold
Giants: Barkley or Trade Down
Jets: Rosen or Mayfield
Browns: Chubb

Checks a lot of boxes for what this team needs on defense.The history for success for this team has been the ability to get after the quarterback. We also need more high motor players and leader types on the defense. JPP gone. Who exactly is replacing him? Running backs,IMO, a dime a dozen. I want a quarterback in this draft but if the coaching staff and GM don't think any worthy of the #2,Chubb makes a whole lot of sense.

It's been tough since Scot McCloughan fell off the wagon and got himself fired in Washington. (ALLEGEDLY)

Curiously, McCloughan has helping the Browns prepare for the Draft, not the Giants.

It's never been just one thing. QB play has been a massive piece of the formula, from getting quality play out of a backup that nobody expected to Phil Simms being damn near perfect in a super bowl, to Eli dropping one in the bucket to Manningham.
