Packers plotting a potential trade up

sphinx : 5:00 pm
Ian Rapoport @RapSheet

The new #Packers may be on display Thursday night. They are among the teams plotting a potential trade up -- from No. 14 -- for a top-tier talent, sources say. It would be their first opening round move up since Clay Matthews in 2009.

at his disposal, although only one pick in each of the first three rounds so there may be a limit to how high they can go without dipping into future drafts."

I would guess for one of the top flight

talents in the secondary; James, Ward or Fitzpatrick.
GB is an intriguing partner on Day 2.
They have an abundance of Day 3 picks, including the first one:
Round 1 Pick 14
Round 2 Pick 13
Round 3 Pick 12
Round 4 Pick 1
Round 4 Pick 33
Round 5 Pick 1
Round 5 Pick 35
Round 5 Pick 37
Round 6 Pick 12
Round 6 Pick 33
Round 7 Pick 14
Round 7 Pick 21

I could easily see the Giants moving down - especially from on of their 3rd-round slots - for the chance to fill more holes on Saturday..

As for the first round, it’s hard to see the Packers moving into the top five.
They want Rosen

between him and Rodgers, they'll have a QB for 16 games.

Lol, perfect plan.

Rodgers has been the starter there for a decade and has only missed more than a game in two seasons. He's played 15 or 16 games in 8 of those years.

I think they're okay @ QB.

I was thinking Chubb as well.

I can see Nelson. In terms of talent he is probably very high but may drop a little to within trading range where they don't have to give up a ton but still get one of the top players in the draft.
I would worry more about QB if I was GB fan
Than our indestructible gumby QB.
