If they would take some combo of Lee, Noah, LT I would be interested in taking a look. Certainly was exposed in the playoffs, but I think he could thrive in a 20-25 mpg role next to KP.

Let's give them all of our junk that's taking up our cap space. I can't understand why the Heat wouldn't jump on that.

OK, that was a bit snarky; but c'mon.
lol dont disagree toss in some 2nd rounders/mudiay?
At the same time, currently Whiteside is "junk taking up cap space" for Miami, they favor Bam and Olynyk at the 5, maybe hope to get something from Noah?
but yeah whiteside isn't landing on the Knicks. I would suggest throwing Kanter in if he opted in which would make sense for Miami. I'm not sure it's smart to tie up future cap space in Whiteside beyond what they have. I doubt Miami gets much for him; they might have to pay a price to move him after how he played this past week.
has proven himself unplayable in the playoffs. He's the exact type of contract that the Knicks need to avoid.
I thought Stackhouse was the best option for the Knicks, but if you can get Budenholzer without giving any compensation away, do it ASAP.
12 points, 11 boards, 3 blocks on nearly 70% shooting is unplayable?
He did play like a pussy in the 5 games of the playoffs this year, but I would say his knee injury would be more concerning. His play declined after, whether its lingering or at risk I cannot say. But Whiteside at full strength certainly has value in some capacity on a good team. At $27M? Maybe not, but if he's swapped for other bad deals I can see it making since for some team. hand but reliable source, Bamba wants to be a Knick BAD
I dont doubt it, just some of the concerns about Bamba's mobility (read about moreso than watched) have me scared. I'd rather swing and miss on a wing.

He just got off a series in which he essentially quit and checked out of a playoff battle. He's radioactive and on a Max deal.

And if you wanna judge his value based on 5 games after a long injury absence, that's fine. That's why I suggested 3 players that don't help us in return lol.
But it was a hypothetical - if they're not getting someone like Randle this offseason i'd much rather just tank it another year.

Whiteside has always been a mental case though. It's a reputation that's followed him around for a while and also par of the reason why a guy with his athletic ability and size didn't have an NBA team until his mid 20s. Even before this series he had been at odds with Spoelstra about how many minutes he 'deserved' to be playing.
Where else would he go? Don’t let him wait out the Milwaukee job. Get him signed.
No reason for the hawks to give him a buyout or any of that money..

Berman's wording was a little weird. That could have referenced the interview with Phil and Mills
It is only 1 interview, berman wording it so people think it was 2
