They traded their best O-Lineman to get the 12th pick.
The traded last season's starting QB who got them to the playoffs for the first time in 18 years.
All they have are two backup QBs.
But will they trade with the Giants? Probably Buffalo trades down to four or five first and then moves to two.. Giants need more than two firsts and a second for a move all the way back to 12.
Buffalo has stockpiled the draft picks to trade.
If this is finally the season they draft Kelly's replacement, they should move down to two and have their choice of every QB except one. At four or five, they might get stuck with one they're not really that high on.
but after the Jets, if the Giants dont go QB, the Bills could pick from 2 of either Rosen, Mayfield, and Allen without trading to 2... I think thats their play unless Darnold drops
It's not 1975 and passing the football and stopping the pass are more important than running the football and stopping the run.
Bingo. This would scare me a bit about Gettleman, except that I don't really believes it. He just likes cliches. He knows that running exists to facilitate the passing game, and stopping the run is important primarily in that it makes the passing game tougher.
I think he does take Barkley, because he's more than just a runner. He will help the passing game both indirectly and directly.

I think if Buffalo gets to 4 they'll try their best to get to 2 and pick their QB before the Jets can pick one. It's quite possible they're both interested in the same guy.
Dave Gettleman relaxed and took 12 members of his scouting department to the Yankees game.
They were guests of Brian Cashman and Lon Troast.
Perhaps a lesson for some very anxious Giants fans.
I can't remember Being less stressed. You work should be stressful. Or life issues. Not this stuff. We should get a great player. Time to put down the draft guides and grab a beer
Picking a Running Back over a QB with the #2 pick Â

Seriously? You honestly think Gettleman doesn't know what he's talking about? LOL ... that takes an incredible amount of narcissim. I mean holy shit.
Did it ever occur to you that Gettleman believes the best way to pass the ball is to have the horses to force the other team to honor the run?

He didn’t say he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. At all. What he said is he’s purposefully speaking in cliches, like all coaches and quarterbacks also do. Because why would a GM during draft season tell the world how he wants to build a team?
Can't wait for tomorrow to be over.
That's why you're a nobody. You don't know nothing anymore than any of us.

but i can all but guarantee Rosen is not the pick.

That is true, which is why i stated as much instead of stating it as a fact like the other guy lol

Might as well have been watching some horses he owned run a race. Asleep at the wheel prick.

This is based off.......nothing. Thanks for playing

And even if he was, the team is better off just getting out of that spot and accumulate additional picks.
Of course you have to find a trading partner, but its only been around 100+ days since we locked it in so don't tell me we ran out of time.
Oh and by the way, signing a 31-year old RB and giving him $3M+ makes zero sense as well.
Trust Gettleman?...we'll see.
