Controversial tweets from high school surface on eve of draft. Apparently racial, use of the N word. Does he fall? Is he still your number one QB if he was?
as "breaking news." Him saying he removed the old tweets last night?
Why did such things remain this long?
It was mentioned in this morning's ESPN report that one team "drafting in the top 10" did not know about the tweets until they were told by a reporter.
Just like the Laremy Tunsil bong video on draft day a couple years ago. A cut throat thing to do. Who would be behind the timing of such things, and why?
Do something stupid in high school, be stupid enough to put it out there for the world to see and then have some conclude this person is a racist and speculate as to whether they should drop in the draft.
It's not at all unusual to see a room full of white, brown, black and etc 15 year old teens signing loudly along with some rap song that has that word and a whole bunch of other words in it.
Take it up with the gods of pop culture if you want, I mean, amusing... Sort of, but it's just how things are.
to drop a talent to where they'd have an opportunity to draft someone they otherwise wouldn't. Not saying this is the case but it becomes suspicious when it's leaked on draft day,the same way the Tunsil video was leaked on last years' draft day!

A theory two people in the past hour now have floated: another team plotted to have Josh Allens racially insensitive tweets put out just before the draft in order to increase the chances he would fall in the draft to that team.

Two notes: 1. Teams have been told some of Allen's tweets were quoting song lyrics and movie or TV show scenes. Others were meant to be jokes to friends. But he did send them. 2. Teams have been reticent to judge Allen based on tweets from high school.
That the tweets had been discussed among the draftniks (Media people) for a few months. Said they were viewed more immature than anything else but he had no idea why his Agent did not delete them until a couple days ago
Does this mean Allen can't get elected president ?
What was he 15 and they were retweets and they are jokes get over it
I haven't seen the tweets myself, but if that's true and if he were simply quoting something, or retweeting something... well, that's part of why I loathe Twitter and the tendency to use people's secondhand Twitter activity to define their freaking personality.

Thats very well done. ; )
14 year old kids are stupid. This wouldn't move him any lower on my board. Then again, I don't like him as a player much anyway. :)
