Managed to miss it in theaters, and don't know if I want to wait 2 weeks until it's out on dvd. It's damn near impossible to avoid spoilers for that long in this day and age.
RE: How integral to the plot do you guys think Black Panther will be? Â

Oh bummer.
I wouldn't say it is integral, but there may be some minor plot points that you miss out on. Nothing that should affect your viewing.

j_rud, I've heard that about 1/4 of the Avengers film is based in Wakanda (playing a big role in one of the final battle scenes).
I think seeing Black Panther would help enrich your viewing of Avengers but overall don't think it will hurt it much.
Still a little bummed I missed it. I'm a big Chadwick Boseman fan since Get on Up but when it was out I'd just gotten a promotion at work and moved all inside of 2 weeks. Add a toddler to the mix and that's a great recipe for no social life.
Black Panther this past Monday. I was supposed to go to an AIW showing tonight but when I realized it was the same night as the first round of the draft, I bailed on my husband who is now taking his cousin. I would have wanted to leave the movie to stream the pick and who knows how much time that would take, especially if the Giants trade down last minute. I have no doubt my husband will want to see it again anyway so I'll go at some point as I am excited for this movie (the original Avengers is one of my favorite movies). To all of you going tonight through the weekend - have fun!

Missed it? It's still in theaters!
Major theater near me will have BP showtimes tonight DURING A3 debut. I don't know if there has ever been two MCU films in the theater at the same time.
Love the reviewers criticizing the film for having too many characters Â
Nothing like this has really ever been done; what else would you expect?!
Chris Pratt stated Star-Lord had really more of a cameo...I don't know how to take that. Kind of hope the typical non-Avengers get their due screen-time.
I don't want this to be a BP or Iron Man (really RDJ) focused film. The fight in Wakanda looks cool, but I hope most of the film isn't central to it.

Maybe- maybe not. Depends if there is a big trade down. I still believe that they will pick Barkley at #2.
However, like you, I will be with my son at the movie tonight until after 10, and won't know what happened until then.

Yeah, that's basically the AV Club's central complaint
