Divisional game... timed it up so I left the lounge during a commercial break, got right on the plane, settled down and caught a good chunk of the 4th quarter. Right as the game was coming to an end, the safety video came on, followed by about 5 minutes of promotional garbage, causing me to miss the last 2-3 minutes of the game, including the final play.
I heard some chatter during the demo (probably from people watching/following on their phones) but when the feed came back in, there was a collective, "what the hell just happened?" from all of us who had the same idea.
Moral of the story, don't count on the airline to deliver the action!!

Same thing happened to me one year ago. It was an NFL playoff game. We boarded right before the 4th quarter. THen the promotional crap started to run. Then it was actually looping and showing the same promotional stuff for 20 min. I am upgraded and now all of the guys in first class are looking at each other thinking... something is wrong here. So, I tell the flight attendant to reboot the direct TV. She does it and the game comes on. When it comes back there is only a few min left in the 4th quarter. It almost seems like we were on the same flight.
So I'll wait for the texts to come from my Giants buddies and catch up on BBI when I get home. Drafts a big crap shoot to me, I'll cheer for whoever we draft.
And i would go fishing while recording the draft. If I was home i would consider watching the first round and then putting the kayak on the truck to head out for some striper Fishing
