McCoy/Bills- Trade Partner

jc in c-ville : 4/26/2018 9:48 am
There has been much talk about Buffalo being a trade partner.

With that, as they're obviously in complete rebuild mode and covet a move up to secure a QB- could McCoy be dangled in replacement of future draft picks.

If the powers that be are convinced that Eli is in fact on board for two/three years and they have a win now mentality, could the addition of McCoy entice the Giants?

Without getting into all the swapping of picks, other than this years 1's for Buffalo, if they were to include McCoy, who turns 30 in July, is that enough to deter from asking for a 2019 #1?

He is an immediate upgrade at RB, Giants go OL with multiple picks in rounds 1/2/3.

If in fact they truly think there is a 3 year window, a new line, McCoy, may be something the Giants are looking at.
Why would the Giants want a 30 year old

They are in rebuild mode?

They made the playoffs last year and think they are a QB away.

If they were truly in a rebuild, then why would they trade away all their picks to move up?
So giving up on next year's 1st

to acquire McCoy instead???

No way IMO. The only way you move back to 12 is if you get their #1 next year included and then some (other than the two 1sts this year), which I still wouldn't do. McCoy is 30 and a small frame that has a lot of miles on him.

You mean another one?
McCoy is due about $13MM over the next two years.

At this point, I wouldn’t consider him a viable substitute for a second-round pick, let alone a first. Unless you expect TIki-style productivity from McCoy as his career winds down, this idea is just silly - especially with Jonathan Stewart on the roster.
How many 30 and older RBs does a team need?

PASS!

For two or three years...then they wouldn't be the powers that be.

On the last year of his contract nonetheless.
