Without looking it up myself doesnt it signal to the cops the person didn't abandon it and someone else picked them up. they were likely going to an event or work and then they will attend to the car later?

Driving to Denver last year I must have seen about 10 or so cars just sitting there with a sticker on it. Looks like they were left there months ago.
