OK Eli plays maybe two more years we have Webb as maybe the next QB. I see it as its not like the Giants can't sign a QB in free agency if Webb doesn't pan out. The money that comes off the books with Eli should help later on. I am OK if we do take a QB but that said I am fine with Barkley or a trade back and get a boat load. I really like the job we have done to this point and the direction we are going.
We need a future HOFer, regardless of position. QB HOFer is obviously preferred. Still not comfortable with Nelson at 2nd overall.
Not as a HC, he hasn't
So draft one...

I've tried explaining this to people, but it makes no difference. The BBI Twitter poll shows that 49% of people want Barkley and only 42% want a new QB. I've given up on trying to convince people of the reasoning behind it. Either I'll be right or they will. But one thing I know is I'm not wasting any more time trying to explain myself. And I certainly won't spend much time on there tonight if we draft Barkley.

Have you made sure Gettleman knows how you feel?

Unfortunately, that 49% will be the ones screaming within two years that the Giants don't have a viable qb option. It's also fairly bewildering that the Giants fans think it's just as easy a going out in free agency and finding the next franchise guy. It is rare, if ever a franchise qb makes it to free agency.
Nonetheless, I do have the feeling that the Giants are on the verge of a monumental failure by selecting a running back. I have no confidence in this organization right now.

We've arrived at Draft Day, and we're less than eight hours away from the Giants' pick. So we'll figure out whether Gettleman played this process like a champ or - if he drafts a RB - a chump. It's my opinion, and I'm entitled to it. You don't have to agree with me (and by sheer odds, you don't). Maybe you think I'm being overly dramatic; I don't.
Next years class is not good. If they take another mid round qb, it's hard to accept that, because that means the Giants know they need a qb but aren't willing to invest a premium asset.

Overly dramatic? Nah. Agree with you? My opinion is that there is a reason Gettleman holds a job that only 31 other human beings on earth hold. Maybe - just maybe - he knows more about the grades of college football players in this draft than I do.
It's fun ... but that's all it is. I'll be excited by whomever the Giants select and I won't pretend to think I know more than the guys who actually get paid to do this for a living.
