As much as it seems QB is the way to go

I am struggling if it is the way I would go. I have thought about it and the only reason I keep thinking about taking one is because of the fear of not being able to get one in the future. I do not see a QB in this draft that I feel is a must have. Darnold is the only one that interests me and the one I feel most comfortable with. He has a sort of Eli way about him but I’m still back and forth with him.

On the flip side I do see one of the best if not the best running back prospects I have seen in a very long time. Barkley is just a can’t miss player and the best player in this draft. The Giants have never had a player of his ability at the running back position. You could have the greatest receiver and running back they have ever had on the field at the same time.
I would be totally fine if he were the pick.

If they choose QB I hope it is because they feel that he is truly a franchise player and not because of where they are picking. They also need to feel strongly that Eli is finished and it is time to start to move on. If they are drafting BPA I can’t see how it is anyone else other then Barkley. I know there is going to be fans that will love or hate the pick no matter who it is. But only time will tell if that player was the right pick. I just hope that whomever they pick they turn out to be great.

To me the other big thing is to hit on the later round picks which has been a big struggle for this team. Those are the picks I really hope they find some players. Those picks can really impact a teams future.
Curious because I read this a lot of BBI

when people talk about these QB's. I keep reading how people don't think these QB's are worthy selections. Just curious, what are you basing this on? Do you watch a lot of college football? Do you watch tape? Are you going by other reports or people's opinions that you respect? Not being a smart*ss, just curious how you came to that conclusion because it seems to be a common conclusion on bbi, but not around football circles.
Yes I have seen all of them play

I think that 2 of these guys could turn out to be franchise QB’s. I also feel that they may just be good QB’s but never really win the big one. Im not so sure these guys have the ability to really put a team on their back and make everyone around them great. Rosen is the only one I have seen that flashes that ability that I feel comfortable with in that sense. Mayfield has ability but he just doesn’t fit the franchise QB mold for me. Darnold does a lot of things good but nothing stands out except sometimes making something out of nothing. Allen and his accuracy are a concern. Accuracy is something that is not as easy to teach but his arm does stand out.

If I had to choose a QB it would be Darnold 1a, Rosen 1b. I would be okay with either but only if the Giants really felt that one of them were franchise QB worthy and not because they felt it was a pressing need. Look I could be totally wrong because I’m not a scout but I do feel that Barkley is a can’t miss and with the QB’s I’m just not sure and if you get it wrong it can really set you back. As it stands right now it’s not like I would be crushed if it were Darnold, Barkley, Rosen, Chubb or Nelson. We would just have to wait and see the return on the investment.
