#Giants coach Pat Shurmur told reporters he’s “planning on picking at No. 2.” At this point, it seems like: 1. There isn’t a lot of interest in coming all he way up to 2. 2. The Giants want to make the pick.
But it is better for trade discussions if you leak out you want to make the pick. Force someone to make you trade out of it...you don't want to lose leverage that you want to trade out of it.
If the giants want to trade down, they dont want anyone go know for sure to get a better deal.
It sounds like the bills have spoken to giants, broncos, and colts. Giants pick would be a premium since its ahead of the jets. Ill bet the giants want 3 first round picks for that. For others its likely just 2.

That if Darnold is there at #2 it makes the pick that much more valuable, which is then followed by a hope the Giants can trade down.
Hard to understand the logic of wanting a team who will soon be in the market for a quarterback to pass on said quarterback that makes this pick so valuable.
they stay at #2, it better be for a QB. Anything else is a waste.
I agree from a value standpoint. Hoping Quarterback tonight. Chubb has some value because you can’t find pass rushers and have to pay them a ton. Look at JPP and Vernon.
