Trade back with the Jets to #3. Give them their QB. Then, trade back with the Browns to #4. Give them Barkley. Then, trade back with Denver to #5. Give them their QB. Then take Chubb or Nelson plus we’ll have a boatload of 2nd and 3rd round picks.
But I don’t have the warm and fuzzies over Gettleman running the draft. I think if we pass on a QB today we are going to be in QB hell for a chunk of the next decade.
Darnold
Rosen (that appears 0% likely)
Barkley
Chubb (if they trade down to #4)
I honestly cannot believe Baker Mayfield might be the first pick. That might be the most Clevelandest thing that's ever happened.
I'm still holding out hope for Rosen, even if that appears to be slipping away. There is some level of comfort, though, that this regime is holding information closer to the vest, so the chances of a surprise may be a bit higher.
But I want the best player in the draft - Barkley. My brain says trade down etc etc, but my heart wants the guy that can change direction on a dime and will make the Giants fun to watch again.
Ideally, I would like a few more premium picks..... to try to address all their needs....but also do not want to lose out on the Barkley, Chubb and Nelson.
If they go QB, i will be fine....butnthey will need trade/release Eli sooner then later.....The Webb back up strategy seems to be working....but adding another QB... the dynamic of the team will change dramaticly and not for the good.
Does Anyone Still Believe That The Giants Go QB at 2? Â
the Browns draft Mayfield, DG will have to decide whether to draft Darnold, Rosen, or trade the pick. This is the most important decision since Accorsi traded for Eli. It defines or destroys careers and legacies.

Agree. If I were Gettleman I'd be approaching this draft like the Giants were an expansion team. I inherited a terrible roster with an awful locker room culture and some bad contracts, and I want to start a new era today. That means doing one of two things:
- Draft the new franchise quarterback
or
- Trade down and use the bounty to restock the team with as many young, cost controlled players not tied to the previous era as possible
What this absolutely should not be about is "get the best player to help Eli". That thinking is the reason that Eli ended up with only a 111-103 career record to this point.
If you don't want to know, I suggest getting off BBI right before the pick.

Yeah, this is what I usually do. I just thought someone said this year no one knows until commish announces
a week ago really shocked... today with as much as they have talked about it... not at all.
I doubt you can get all the news outlets and reporters to agree to this. Easier to just log off Twitter.
George, I told my wife I have no idea if this will be over early or go late.
Agreed....but then there’s Kay Adams.

I personally will be fine with whatever they do tonight but would love some wheeling and dealing.....just for the excitement.

Eric talks to his wife the way the media has been reporting to us all week. It might be over early. Or late. Giants might draft a QB. Or not.
It's worse for me. EVERY single year except for one, the draft has landed on her birthday.

I hate this red carpet crap.

While she's always a smoke show, last year's red dress was ridiculous.
That's a good sign to slow down on the bottle.

bhaha no argument here
I am believer that Shurmur can win with an "ok" QB

Done!
(But every year, she asks "Is the draft on my birthday again?" with these sad eyes).
But you'll miss the fashion show! Don't you want to know what they are wearing?

I think that DG cares more about filling holes and propping up Eli than finding a long-term solution at QB.
Isn't it stupid and garish?
I can't wait for the parrot to start announcing Bucs picks.

That picks will not be announced early this year via Twitter. Is this true?

Yes but someone BBI will be on twitter and post the pick early
FOX is simulcasting the NFL Network broadcast. I’m watching ESPN.

no, Eric no. I don't believe FMIC gives a rat's ass either

Stop reacting and start building.
But we're witnessing one of the most historical moments in franchise history. This is big.
