Earlier with Boomer & Gio -did anyone listen? I caught just some of it-
Collins says arm is coming along - they had to add another screw - hopes to be ready in 4-6 weeks -also gave a glowing opinion of D Webb - said going against him in practice the kid put the ball where he, Jackrabbit, and DRC couldn't touch it - said no reason why the kid can't be the future
There was a lot of info - BJ spoke of Coughlin - also of the past fired coach -hopefully someone can fill in more
I’m so sick of hearing Eli Apple and Ereck Flowers were the reason why this team sucked from start to finish when it was a complete team effort. Let’s see what happens with the new and improved line or somewhat improved offensive line I don’t even know what to call them at this point.
Tony Mandarich was worse
It's not a thrilling experience.
That said, if he hasn't been paying attention to general consensus comments from those outside the organization, then he needs a real wake up call.
He said that Webb can make every throw, into small windows where only the receiver can catch the ball
Colin’s said he would know as he played against Webb in practice
He also offered that Webb is studious and has the temperament to be the man
Collins has excellent leadership qualities and should be the face of our D. Hopefully he's molded to be our Brian Dawkins. He has every right as the leader to call out Ol' Three Whiff for not showing up at camp.
That’s it. He was asked about every having a booth no as Boomer thought he’d be great for it but he said that he wasn’t meant to have ties to the NFL post playing career. Said he much more enjoys working with kids and lives off of the interest from his playing days. I love that answer, and I love how he’s trying to teach youth and give them someone tangible to look up to.

working out, getting better, becoming part of the team, helping the team to become a winning franchises,
is not pouting?
Tell me how that helps him and how that is looking out for his best interest.
Collins actually said a lot of players are simply more comfortable and think they get a better workout with their own trainers. Whether that’s a good idea is debatable but it’s not like he’s blowing off football.
Jacobs said that. Not Collins.
There was a long, long article last year about Eli and the family dysfunctions last year. And Flowers being upset about losing his position is just common sense. Of course, he is upset. The question is what he is going to do about it now that he hired a reasonable person to advise him.

Esiasion and the other assholes were yucking it up over some Francesa clip.
I'll repeat, whatever faults Mike has, he NEVER disparages other hosts on the station on his show, and won't allow callers to do it either.
They made me miss Fat Mike. At least he sticks to sports, given his superficial football analysis, now too hot stove Yankee trade rumors.
These idiots on WFAN and ESPN try to be up yuck it up personalities, unbearable. News flash, you should have an actual personality.
That's just how morning shows are, and it's not unique to B&G. It's not unique to NYC. It's not unique to sports talk radio. Nearly every morning radio show, regardless of hosts, market, or format has their yuk-it-up elements.
One common denominator between Apple and Flowers is the involvement of the parents in their professional affairs. I'm not talking about guiding them but actually being the one calling the shots as their manager or agent. Obviously, it's a generalization but that has to be where the deluded sense of entitlement comes from. If you're in this fantasy land bubble of life as a professional athlete, you need an objective outside perspective in your camp that can ground your ego a little.
I simply think it’s more than “show up or you are a shitty teammate” like many like to subscribe to. As usual, fans blow most things out of proportion.
No NFL team will look at Flowers and say his decision to skip workouts under a new coaching staff and playbook is helping his future potential and his value as a player.
Apply the same scenario to yourself...
I'm sure anyone and everyone on this board would be pissed and feel cheated if the company you worked for replaced you with someone new and you had to find out from that person.
NO you wouldn't stop going to work, but you would prob not attend any of the "VOLUNTARY" work events such as team builders and fundraisers. I know I wouldn't, and I def would start speaking to other companies or get council
This is similar to what is happening with Flowers.
So If this is true, it makes sense for Flowers to make a business decision.
If you are playing/working at a high level, then yeah definitely would be upset about the “demotion”. But you have to have an honest assessment of yourself before you start throwing tantrums with your employer. While Flowers isn’t quite a bust, he has not performed such that his displacement couldn’t be justified. And nevertheless still collecting a hefty check.
"He is the future," Collins said when asked about his thoughts on Webb after watching him in practice. "When I play against him he puts some balls over my head, over Jackrabbit's (Janoris Jenkins) head in perfect spots where either the receiver is catching the ball or no one is catching the ball."
Boomer asked about how Webb is on the sidelines, in practice, and in games.
"Comfortable," Collins said using a word to describe Webb. "He's always next to Eli, earpiece in his ears, he's the future."
Would have loved to see Webb get a chance at some point last year.
