I know you can never truly judge a schedule until the season starts. But what's everyone's thoughts? It looks brutal to me especially early. Barkley better be ready!
I used to pay attention to the “on paper” degree Â
it looks extremely difficult. The only saving grace is there’s very few west coast trips, the Bye is right in the middle and we get some of the tougher opponents at home. You never know though. Teams aren’t always what they were the year before, for various reasons; players are, injuries, new coaches, players departing in Free Agency, new Free Agents that are not what they were on another team.
I will say this, on paper this team looks pretty good. Problem is depth in most areas and so we need to stay healthy to have a good season. I think that goes without saying, but it’s a major factor for us.
If this team can take care of business at home and possibly steal a few on the road, we could get back to the playoffs.
Fans of other teams were looking at the Giants on their schedule and expecting a tough matchup. We all know how that played out.
Despite starting the season 0-5, 3 of those Giants losses weren't gimme wins for the other team. Philly, Tampa and LA all won by one posession with a 4th quarter comeback.
Philly and Tampa Bay games were lost on the final play.

There's really no "last place schedule" anymore. Each team's previous year standings only affect 2 of the 16 games on their slate. The other 14 games are the same for all teams within any given division.
If we can get through the first half of the season 4-4, we're not in bad shape. Because as long as everything isn't completely on fire like it was halfway through last season, maybe the players really buy into Shurmur's plan and things start to come together down the stretch... we go 5-2 from there, setting up a win-and-in game for us against Dallas in MetLife. Eli leads a game winning drive (just as he did to get his first win as a starter in 2004), completing a 10-6 season and an epic comeback-of-the-year player type of season. Giants ride the momentum to win in the wild-card round. Maybe they even put up a good fight against whoever the divisional round opponent is, but even in my wildest dreams I don't think this team could make it to the super bowl. I would love to see either an Eli vs. Ben super bowl or one last Brady rematch before Eli retires (as long as we would win haha), but that's a pipe dream.
makers did not have the Giants play back-to-back games at home or 3 of 4 at home like past years. I suppose if you look at the glass half full, they don't have any back-to-back away games either. But's it's nice to have some home cookin' for a few weekends or over a 14-20 day stretch during the season.
I say Eli gets his 3rd ring. I have an east coast/west coast super bowl in New York vs. LA
Eli gets his 3rd ring against Philip Rivers. This is my prediction on this spring night of May.
Just like last year. If the OL plays at the level they’re capable of playing, this team team will compete. The HC and DC know what they’re doing schematically. There’s plenty of playmakers on offense. The talent on defense is underrated.
Last season doesn't matter, what matters is this season and how well Â

However, he saddles the Pats with Bergen Catholic.

And Dallas is a who knows matchup.
That sums it up....for pretty much every team in the NFL

This team is committed to winning now, that means their suppose to be the tough game on their opponents schedule
