Lineup

who’s closing? I’m guessing Chapman has the day off?

D-Rob or Betances. Chapman def out. Or Green can finish it only 24 pitches so far..
Robertson is closing it.

I hope he can redeem himself after last night.
As risky as it is I’d love betances out there

in the 9th. Getting him 3 straight strong outings + a close can have season long implications.
1 down.

2nd time this series the

ump missed a definite strike. That pitch from D-Rob to Alonzo was well inside the strike box - wasn't even touching the edges..
Another Series Win!!!!

14-1 in our last 15 games! The last time they did that was 1998!

:) :) :) :) :)
Another good win

considering our bats were quiet with 4 hits.

Good outing for Sonny.

Good win for Gray.

Only 4 hits.

Bullpen back on track.

This team just outlasts good pitchers. Fun.
This has been a fun 2-3 weeks
UConn4523 : 5/5/2018 3:48 pm : link
Even better knowing we got 3 of our best players a day off and Gray with a good outing.
The Yankees still have a lot of upside on offense.
manh george : 5/5/2018 4:45 pm : link
Stanton will get better with warm weather and as he gets more used to being a Yankee. Gardner will either get better or lose PT--maybe to Frazier. Walker will get better or be replaced--probably by Drury. Judge will hit more out. Hicks is still getting his swing and eye back.

This team, when decently healthy, should be better than .254--eighth best in the league--in BA, and have even more HRs.

I do expect that Adujar could decline, as many rookies do after this hot a start. Didi should get closer to his normal--but not down by much. Most of the rest is still upside.
Keep riding the wave!

I know we're not gonna win at this clip all summer, but to gain this kind of ground during what is likely the toughest stretch of the entire season is truly remarkable. Hope they've unlocked something with Sonny.
Whatever Gray is doing...

hope it's a trend.

Gonna be a fun, fun summer.

Go German.

Why can baseball players like Hicks or Arod continuously grab their crotches every minute and also make sure they do it atleast 5 times during ABs and it's cool (I agree no issues) but when Baker Mayfield does it it's bad

Just a random observation about baseball, players and crotch grabbing is just part of the game I guess

every wear a cup?

Makes sense for ARod, but being an outfielder, Hicks doesnt really need it. I only wore a cup when I caught and pitched. Wearing them in the outfield made it tougher to run full speed and I would get saddke soreness quite often.

Don't know what pros do. I never wore one because if my hands weren't fast enough to protect myself.... and yes, it does slow you down.
It really is pretty amazing how quickly our young guys

have come up and made such a huge impact already. Judge, Sanchez, etc. Gleyber, who just called up and is only 21, is already doing really well, too. Severino, as well. These guys haven't wasted anytime making a big impact in the majors very quickly.

Wore mine for a week. Then put it in the bag until I had to catch or pitch. It got a little dicey trying to shove that monstrous hunk of plastic down my pants if I had to fill in at catcher mid game, but.... ;-)

Andujar is another one who's done it. Also, Id include Montgomery in there. He hasn't been Sevy but he's shown he ready to pitch in the majors.
Andujar has earned his Pinstripes in my mind.

I think Monty has too, but that injury is a shame. German gets to try and "Wally Pipp" him now.

OMG have we written off Bird already? His injuries have been frustrating but he is still young with incredible promise.
