I just got a Honda CRV and it has apple carplay. Does anybody have issues with carplay disconnecting? It recognizes it and then it starts and it works and like two minutes later I get a sign "No Device Connected." I am pretty sure I am using an Apple wire (an online tip to get it to work). Can my Bluetooth be going in and out in traffic. I live in Park Slope in Brooklyn with a lot of car traffic, does that effect it. Just curious if anyone has any ideas or has dealt with it. Thanks in advance.
same here, both my phone and my wife's phone cut in and out. It is annoying as well. To add insult to injury, it also does not work seamlessly with the radio, I have the navigation map on for my phone and the Yanks game on yesterday and every time it would give me a direction, the Yankee game would turn off.
The funnier thing on my end is when I start the car in my driveway and hear my wife's conversation as it notices her phone from our bedroom.
I have it in my GMC and have never had a problem
1. If more than one phone is configured in the car, the first phone the car finds will be the one that gets connected. This can be an issue if two people get in the car with their phone.
2. When piping navigation audio through the car speakers via a navigation app on the phone that connection will be terminated if some other notification is received on the phone (eg. text message). The crappy fix for that was to call the phone to force the connection to be re-established with the car.
Apparently, this is too complicated for Honda to try and diagnose.
But it can be frustrating.

It also seems to be near impossible to easily delete a synched phone off of the bluetooth settings on my console. I have my old iphone and new iphone still available to sync and it drives me crazy bc it sometimes syncs wrong one bc they are identical names.
