The team announced Beadles’ release on Monday. Beadles spent the last two years with the team and started every game at right guard in 2016 before moving to a bench role for most of last season. He made one start at left guard before Laken Tomlinson took over the job and four at right tackle while Trent Brown was injured.

Didn’t some people here think he would have been a good pick-up

Pass.

T Zane Beadles vs. Jaguars edge defenders — With Joe Staley and Trent Brown manning the tackle spots for most of the season, San Francisco’s primary concern in pass protection has been on the interior. However, with Trent Brown recently sidelined for the rest of the season, those concerns have moved outward as well. Through two games in relief of Brown so far, Beadles has allowed 11 total pressures — only Philadelphia’s Halapoulivaati Vaitai has allowed more (14) over the past two weeks among tackles. The Jaguars move players all around their defensive front, so Beadles will see several different defenders lined up across from him throughout the game. Jacksonville edge defenders have recorded 179 total pressures this season, the most any team.

Probably cap space

A vet player who struggled at times last year. They do save $3.5M in cap space for a guy who was not designated to start, is over 30 and would get nothing back in a trade most likely.
His transaction history...

Quote:
APR 23 2010 Drafted by Denver (DEN): Round 2 (#45 overall)

JUL 27 2010 Signed a 4 year $4.32 million contract with Denver (DEN)

MAR 11 2014 Signed a 5 year $30 million contract with Jacksonville (JAC)

MAR 3 2016 Released by Jacksonville (JAC), clearing $5.5M in cap space

MAR 17 2016 Signed a 3 year $9.75 million contract with San Francisco (SF)

MAY 7 2018 Released by San Francisco (SF), clearing $3.5 million in cap
So he's been valued throughout his career, but has been a cap casualty (the victim of not being valued enough to justify a $5.5M salary in 2016 and a $3.5M salary in 2018). I wonder what's going on with the OL in San Fran that they dump him and trade Trent Brown to the Patriots.
SF is committed to a zone blocking scheme

that neither Brown nor Beadles are good fits. I'm not sure Beadles is a good fit in any scheme, but kicking him to G might be worth a look.
