I guess Cespedes is going to have quad issues his entire time with the Mets, huh?

What confuses me is that I don't understand why they don't give these guys a day off after even a minor injury. One of the few areas our roster is deep in is OF depth. This is a team aching (or should be!) finding ways to get Nimmo ABs.
Cespedes has a minor injury? Start Nimmo! It's a long season. Keep guys fresh, especially when you have a good player backing up.
I'm still really confused why they started Conlon. If I'm Lugo or Gsellmen I have to be pretty annoyed seeing inferior pitchers getting starts and getting lit up all the time.
Lol, I was thinking the same thing.

He’s a liability in the field right now. Same old Mets.

deGrom's start fell on his day. That's it. Oswalt is ahead of him on the depth chart and of course Gsellman and Lugo are too if it were anything long term.
IMO Familia has been pretty close. But, I think I mostly agree that Sewald has been sneakily pretty good this year.

Yeah I just saw Sewald's WAR lost 3/10ths of a win from giving up 3 runs the other day so Familia is slightly higher right now. Still Sewald would be a top 5 reliever in the game if he kept up this pace. He's been really really good. Much better than Lugo and Gsellman who have been getting a lot of credit.

#Mets confident they will trade Harvey, sources tell The Athletic. Four to five teams interested, including #SFGiants, as noted by @jcrasnick. NYM would pick up vast majority of Harvey’s remaining salary, which is in $4.5M range, to get something in return.
I know a lot of people want Matt gone. And honestly I can’t blame them . But I think the situation could have been handled better
Keep him in the rotation. We need his Irish lucky charms!

Yeah I don’t think so w his injury history. I also think they handled (pampered) Harvey better than any other pitcher w his performance the past few years

Harvey will be the Giants closer by July. Strickland has been much improved this year but he is better as a setup guy.

I can not deny any of what you said. Matt acted like a prima Donna. Still think the Mets will regret letting him go

He gave them no choice.
He was getting bombed every single time out and refused a minor league assignment.
What other option did the Mets have?
He was babied enough.
