I disagree. Porcello was a CY Young winner only two seasons ago and has been solid since joining Boston, and Pomeranz one 17 games last season and seems to do always do well against the Yankees.

Gray has mostly sucked since he came to the Yanks, we've been beating that horse to death, but to imply he was average or below in Oakland is just silly

Gray is having a bad outing. Tanaka is better than Price. Price has colossally disappointed in Boston. So the real comp is:

I really don’t think so, it’s a wash IMO. Sale/Severino is a wash, but I trust zsevy more in the playoffs, Sale seems to fade late in the season. Tanaka almost pitched us to the WS last season so there’s that. And I 100% trust CC over Price in a big game.
Maybe regular season those 3 will grind more wins, but I like our guys, if healthy, come playoff time.

He was great when the games had no meaning. The Yankees have high expectations
Yea this is real bad. Hopefully German has a good outing and we can move Gray to 5th or worse.
We can find someone else to give up 3-4 runs a game by the 3rd inning.
