To me that is the main difference between the way we were playing during the 17 and one streak and the way that we have played the last couple games. During the streak, we would have gotten at least one run in that situation. The streak was a combination of us playing well and being fortunate. We do have to capitalize on those situations if we are going to be serious about winning the World Series this year.

The incessant bitching around here that the Yankees MUST add a top of the line starter is unbearable. As others have said, it will cost the moon. Furthermore, this team is positioned beautifully to contend for years, yet some want to cash in our chips as if the window is closing any time soon. This team can win multiple titles.
Finally, look around the league - Aces do not grow on trees. There was a record number of home runs last year. Other teams would love to have our rotation, depth and minor league talent.
He just swung at the exact same pitch out of the strike zone 3 fucking times in a row. How many times do you have to see a low slider before you say to yourself, "I cant hit that pitch....nobody can hit that pitch?" Just infuriating. Reminds me of Soriano in the '03 playoffs.

chapman has been really the only major bright spot in bullpen and he shitting the bed here.
