Christian Kirk was arrested in February....

MOOPS : 5/15/2018 6:20 pm
in Scottsdale for dis con and criminal mischief while leaving the Waste Management Open. He reportedly was throwing rocks at cars in the parking lot and broke a car window. He was also reportedly intoxicated.
Knowing this the Cards still drafted him in the second round.
After saying they were looking for high character players.

Stay tuned for the disposition of charges.

Come on! Did you get drunk and break car windows when you were 21? If so, then you were an a-hole too!

Doing this just two months before he's drafted shows extreme immaturity, poor judgement and lack of character.

And if the NFL chose to suspend him, it wouldn't be "just for the heck of it".
12 is too old to be throwing

Holy than thou... WRATGAS. Bad behavior by a college / pro athlete. Earth shaking...

Yeah, I did stupid

shit when I was 21 but throwing rocks at cars was not one of them. That's pretty juvenile.

as a potential starting wide out; gave him $2.5M guaranteed.

He put this on his resume a week before Broncos' training camp opened last summer.

Could have been charged with battery for the slap that set the whole thing off.

So, speaking of throwing rocks, not tossing them while dwelling in a glass abode might be the way to go.

Not holier than thou at all.

Normal adults don't get drunk and throw rocks through random car windows.
It’s not like he defrauded his fans by making false claims ...

I get you look for character
jcn56 : 5/15/2018 9:34 pm : link
but are we really going to judge him based on one really stupid move?

These teams do all kinds of digging, my guess is they heard enough about Kirk's character to consider that incident out of the norm.
I have never understood the argument that well, when I was 21

I did stupid things and blah, blah, blah that this should be ignored. Look, I did stupid things when I was 21 also but I was held to account by my parents and certainly I was not in any kind of similar position with the opportunity to make millions of dollars.

Nonetheless, if athletes like this, no matter the age, do not recognize the opportunity they have and continue to do stupid things, well, then they take the punishment they deserve.
