I was in college when Charles and Di were married. Friends of mine made a whole event of it, with the early-morning breakfasts and drinking, etc. I suspect they did this mostly to appease their lady friends. I didn't pay any attention back then.
I admit I'm at least a little bit interested in this one. The dude seems like a good guy. She at least appears to be a decent human being. Both might be somewhat down-to-earth.
Seems everyone I talk to is tired of the whole thing. Pretty much boycotting it, they say. But the world, generally, seems enthralled.
TV coverage begins tomorrow morning at 4. My wife thinks if would be fun to get up early and watch, have mimosas, blah blah ... so I suppose if she wakes me up, I'll try to make the most of it (IFFFF ya know what I mean - hello!). lol
With that image in mind, BBI - Royal Wedding ... whattaya got?
This! I hate weddings. I got invited to my childhood friend's wedding and I knew 90% of the people there, thought it'd be one big reunion and be fun...nope.
That's when I realized people get boring as hell when they get older. I left within an hour or so.
Of all the Royals...Harry does seem like a pretty good dude who does a lot to support wounded vets and law enforcement. Markle is pretty damn hot herself
I'd opt receiving a prostate exam than watching the royal friggin wedding.
2. If I watch, I will watch Cord and Tish do commentary on HBO (Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon)

Sport of Kings or Sport of Princes?
Show us your man card.
You watching the Preakness or you watching Harry get reined in?
They did but that was still one of my least favorite episodes of the show
Its like being interested in the battle for 4th string QB in training camp. Not worth wasting sleep on.
Xhoneophobe! (Or whatever)
Just kidding. Awesome fucking post. #USA
She's not even that hot either.
Thankfully I don't care, but he should have picked out a Swiss import then one our D Grade discards.
You make a good and funny point - it’s beyond apathy, a lot of people (not just here) really seem like they care a lot about mocking the whole business.
I mean, Vanderpump Rules was one of the top rated network shows over the winter in this country. A girl I was dating convinced me to watch an episode (the things we do for a little piece of you know what). Good grief. Has anyone been sucked into watching that garbage by a significant other?
Let’s just say our country has its fair share of cultural absurdity that’s worthy of society’s derision too.

But I can understand it from the Britain population's perspective. However, it seems to me like we here, including on this thread, are so energetic in our distancing from it that it's moved from apathy to disparagement. And it isn't like people aren't as fascinated with weddings and births by celebrities here equally as much.

WTF is Vanderpump Rules?
I only opened this thread with hope that the majority of the commentary would be on who posted the slutiest picture...Very disappointed.
I guess I just have to comment on the OP...any man on their right mind who wakes up at 4AM on Saturday morning to watch this garbage need to have their balls reattached.

Be glad you don’t know. And if a girl ever suggests you watch it with her, come down with a life threatening ailment and get out of there. You’ll thank me.
TIA.
Other than that, I have no interest.
The US isn't perfect, but I'm glad we're not paying for a monarchy.
.....Nah, too easy
Thank me later.
That would be cool.
And I'd rather watch the royals than the Khardasian craze that has pervaded American networks.
Agreed, also since the Queen has become one of the longest reigning monarchs in world history, ceremonial as it may be now. Coronated 1952 if I recall? She’s seen some stuff in her time
9/1 Rain during wedding procession and Prince Harry has a beard
10/1 Any member of One Direction attends the wedding ceremony
10/1 Queen’s hat is pink, Harry wears three or more medals, and Elton John is at the ceremony
10/1 Bride arrives in a Rolls-Royce, Prince Harry wears a military uniform, and the Queen’s hat is blue
16/1 David Beckham, Serena Williams, Priyanka Chopra and Cara Delevingne all attend the wedding ceremony
33/1 Bride arrives in a Bentley, Prince Harry is in a military iniform, and the Queen’s hat is orange
33/1 Cara Delevingne attends, Harry is clean shaven, wears more than two-and-a-half medals, and the vicar says “Jesus”
50/1 Any member of the Kardashian family attends the wedding ceremony
50/1 A John Legend song is used for the first dance, Meghan arrives in a Bentley, Boris Johnson attends, and there is rain during the procession
Here's the link to an article about it. Maybe this will spark a new fantasy craze...Wedding Prop Bets for the Rich and Famous!
It's vaguely cool that British royalty will include a person of color, but that's interesting (for me anyway) for about as long as it takes to say it.
Thank me later.
Warning: must have a 10 foot wide dong to appropriately titty fuck
That would be cool.
I'd bet the Mannings would win 21-0
Two NFL QBs versus two princes
Most underrated post. Well done.
Your last sentence actually isn’t true. Prince Harry served in Afghanistan, and actually saw combat, both as a helicopter pilot and a gunner. It’s documented that he once manned a 50 caliber gun to help repel a Taliban attack.
He spends a significant amount of his time and money now supporting various charities, and is popular in England for his efforts with Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans.
Mock their royalty all you want, but it’s not fair to say all they care about is themselves.
My dudes. It’s PR.
Been up a bit, hanging in bed with a very happy, very upbeat woman who loves that I’m such a “good sport.”
Married 22 years ... sometimes it pays to put in the work. IF you know what I mean, and you other marrieds absolutely do.
Couldn’t care less about this stuff, but she’s happy I’m in. And there you go!
There’s the queen! And 4 minutes to the ceremony!
Hope the rain holds off so I can play golf.
Best wishes to the happy couple.
Raining here. Will make an English breakfast a bit later.
Big picture, good stuff.
(Will avoid like a plague after this morning’s festivities.)
