for everything. My wife has a friend that asks what she should eat for lunch, or what she should wear for the day, etc. for just about everything. (The joys of cell phones and being accessible at every waking hour)
She basically asks some of these questions to justify a bad behavior. IE Should I go the Gym, Should I eat a healthy lunch today, etc.? Hoping my wife will give the answer she wants to hear so she can eat Pizza or skip the gym.
My wife is annoyed as all hell at this and wants it stop without hurting the persons feelings. Any help?
x1000. No idea why people feel the need to instantaneously respond or respond at all when a text comes in.
The Cure for what bitches.. :)
I told my wife to start doing this. She had been largely ignoring her. I'll let you all know what happens.
They are less concerned about the actual topic, solving their problem, learning something new or whatever, just want YOU to look at them and blather on for themselves. And as you said it's like the "asking advice" platitude - people only ask advice w/ hopes you agree. In this case to 'make them feel better' about an obvious bad choice (and if you disagree, they get pissed at you no less)

Yeah it’s essentially a personalized social media post. Crap that no one cares about that you want people to talk about to feel better about yourself.
I don't know why this made me lol after all these years.
Do you think I need to go to the gym today? Nah, today is the day to start training for the half-marathon. 5 miles plus a half hour of dumbells and 15 minutes of abs.
Is it OK to have cake today? Absolutely. I have a fruitcake from last Christmas that is yours for the asking.
Should I buy a new little black dress? I think you look so much better dressed as a ninja.
I'm sorry...I just wanted to be certain.
