This sure won't tamper down all the smoke emanating from 1 Patriot Place.
"Brady regularly has participated in the Patriots' voluntary OTAs in the past. He has skipped all of the team's offseason program so far this season." Link - ( New Window )
There is still a serious hangover from the SB loss and Belichick's inexplicable benching of Butler.
That decision by Belichick left a bad taste with a lot of players. I don't care how much equity Belichick has, that decision made zero sense and likely cost the team a SB win.
Next to Seattle's asinine decision to pass the ball on the two yard line in the SB 49 versus the Pats (ironically, Butler was the hero), this was the single worst decision personnel decision I've ever seen by a HC in the biggest of games...
I don't think Belichick should get a pass on this...at all.
Try to discredit that guy's career who wrote that piece about Brady, Belichick and the Jimmy G trade. Maybe not all of it was 100% accurate, but it certainly appears he wasn't making it up either, like of the Boston people tried to spin.
I was emailing with a cousin who is a big Pats fan & lives in Maine. He thinks there's a possibility-not a big one by any stretch of the imagination-that Brady does what Jordan did in '93, i.e. retire right before training camp starts.

If I recall right, Belichick cut a backup WR from the roster just before Super Bowl XLII. He's always been ruthless (see ya, Lawyer Milloy!), but that Butler decision certainly came back to bite them. Sometimes that's all it takes to sway opinions inside a locker room.

He did. But Underwood was basically the 6th WR. Butler was their most productive corner who played 99% of the snaps all year (which I'm sure you know). Substantially bigger difference...
I really admire Belichick on so many levels. But he really hurt the team with that Butler move. Foles looked like Joe Montana picking apart Eric Rowe, Butler's replacement.
the Pats had the lead with 9 minutes left in the game......
And it was looking like they were going to win "Bill's way"!
But then, that decision came back to bite Bill in the arse, when Philly went 75 yards for a td, and conmverted some crucial 3rd and 6, 4th and 1, and 3rd and 7 plays......
But Tom had the ball in his hands with 2:21 left, a timeout , and the 2 minute warning....Bill still could win it "his way", but then the strip sack......
The SB loss, the forced Jimmy G trade, and the Alex Guerrero incidents seem to have created the atmosphere we are seeing in Foxboro....

In all likelihood, yes. But there's definitely some tension in Foxboro.

They'll go 12-4 and win the AFCE again like they always do.

There is - but it seems like every year someone is predicting their demise and it never happens.
I'm at the point where I need to see the Pats actually have a down year before I believe it'll happen.
Fifteen straight seasons with 10 or more wins...
I said this for years "a locker room cancer and an overrought emotional wreck". (quietly) ... and no one believed me.

He loves me like Crispin Glover.
Maybe you're not concerned because you're not a Patriots fan?
