Who is your pick to have the best year offensively?

MotownGIANTS : 5/22/2018 12:35 pm
I'm going with EE ... as Barkley will get the defense to focus on him and DC will still use over the top help on OBJ that will leave EE with the best matchup consistently game in and out. SS will still get the opponents 2nd best CB.

EE should get open on most LB due to his speed and out muscle most DBs strength and height. He is a decent route runner his YAC just needs to improve ... but he will get the looks and touches by default.

Darkwa!
anyone else read Ezekiel Elliot

everytime someone posts EE? It really grinds my gears to have to spend more time figuring out what an acronym means than it would have to just say it. ROTFLSHMSFOAIDMT

Until proven otherwise, OBJ is the best WR in the NFL and as shown, doesn't require very great QB play to produce.

With the state of the line, the question mark at QB, a new system, and a rookie RB, the slant to OBJ is the most reliable concept in the offense.
As long as he's healthy
Eman11 : 5/22/2018 12:42 pm : link
I'm going with OBJ.

Even with all the attention paid to him, he still put up great numbers. If he stays healthy, I think he'll still be their #1 weapon and he'll put up great numbers again.

Engram and Barkley will no doubt get theirs as well and open things up for everyone else too. If that results in even a slight reduction in attention OBJ gets from D's, look out! We've seen how great he was when he was the sole focus of D's, and to me it really just depends on his ankle and overall health. If he's healthy, I think he has a monster year.

dude why don't you make a bold pick? Everyone knows that Darkwa is a lock for offensive player of the year.
Beckham
giants#1 : 5/22/2018 12:43 pm : link
as a WR he naturally has more space to work in than Barkley and if you give him an inch he's proven he can take it to the house.

A little early success from Barkley will make safeties hesitate just enough for Beckham to burn them.
WHen in doubt
djm : 5/22/2018 12:44 pm : link
Go with beckham.
Ill say this though
djm : 5/22/2018 12:46 pm : link
I love Shepard. Hes gotten better from year one to year two and will be moving around in a pro offense with star power all around him. Hes going to have a huge year. Eli loves guys like Shepard.
also doubt Engram gets enough looks
giants#1 : 5/22/2018 12:46 pm : link
to outproduce Beckham. You're probably looking at 150+ targets for Beckham (assuming he's healthy) vs 100-120 targets for Engram.

Now if you're talking relative to expectations or average production from that position, I can see Engram having a chance, but no way he gets more receptions/yards (or even TDs) than a healthy Beckham.
Barkley.

Or the punter.

Pray for the former. :)
Hernandez

I'm going to go with
beatrixkiddo : 5/22/2018 1:09 pm : link
Barkley, will probably have the most combined yards if they use him how Shurmur likes to use his RB's. Beckham will have the most TD's, Receptions and Recieving yards though.

bet he leads the league in punt attempts.
I think Shepard has a HUGE year

Eli

...not enough touches for Barkley/Engram/Sheppard or Odell to stand out. Gonna go with the guy who touches it every snap.

Plus I think he shows a slight upward trend in skill and technique this year under Shumer.
Eli

If Eli has a very good year then all the other offensive players will also shine in 2018
I think
allstarjim : 5/22/2018 2:39 pm : link
Saquon will be eased in a bit at the start of the year, and I believe that teams are going to gameplan specifically around him at times this year. They are going to run blitz and get after Eli and put it on him to make them pay. For those reasons, I am going with OBJ. I think this year might be his best one yet due to the Saquon effect.
Flowers, I hope.

If he has a good year, we could have a great year.
Eli...
Brown_Hornet : 5/22/2018 4:12 pm : link
...
Odell for sure
UberAlias : 5/22/2018 8:55 pm : link
Barkley is going to be huge for him. Teams cant defend NYG like they have. That said, Eli should have his best season since 2015.
Odell

Clearly OBJ IMO

He is the best offensive player in Giants history at this point in his career.

that was my pick too!--but since you are always wrong, i'll go with Barkley instead.

with shurmur he will run alot of pick plays and seam routes will finally be used the way that 4.4 speed should be used a move TE not an inline TE which elison will now pickup and with OBJ on the field he should get alot of favourable 1 on 1 matchups as the strong safety is going to have to come up to contain barkley while the free safety will likely be on the other side of the field with beckham as well so if he get the ball he will be a threat to go the distance more this year

Shurmur put Dalvin Cook right to work and featured him from the get-go. I see no difference with SB. He may not get 25 carries to start but he'll likely get 20 touches.
My hope would be Eli
Big_Blue_in_the_Bronx : 5/26/2018 2:54 pm : link
That would likely lead to the most positive outcome for this offense

Rudolph for whatever reason wasn't tremendously productive in Shurmurs offense last year. I am going with Eli,Beckham AND Barkley as having greatly productive years
I think EE
mrvax : 5/26/2018 4:54 pm : link
will have a great year. Reese made a few good picks. EE needs to learn to hold onto that ball better though via practice.

That's my pick. I think he'll win Comeback Player of the Year at the end of the season.
Most talented draft pick since 1960!

Barkley isn't going to have the best year offensively for the Giants.

He's going to have the BEST OFFENSIVE YEAR IN LEAGUE HISTORY.

I SAID IT SO I GET CREDIT. 😁
