We all have at least one. For me, it's the woman who sits right across from my cubicle. She's loud, she is constantly chewing on food, she pops her head into my cubicle & asks 'Whatcha doing?', even though she can clearly see I'm either working or doing something else. Just an annoying person with who I spend 40 long hours a week.
I try to block her out & avoid conversation with her, but it's a struggle considering her proximity to my desk.
How do you deal with coworkers you can't stand?
Hard to believe Office Space is almost 20 years old.
If she is your friend, she will take the advice and improve.
If she hates you for it, does it really matter? Cause she wont bother you anymore anyways.

Solid advice dep. I really don't care if she hates me anyways. It's not like her & I are going out to Happy hour on Fridays together.

tell her that she is preventing you from working and her annoying habits arent helping.

exactly. Now if shes hot and you want to bang her, then be more gentle.
But if she is someone you dont see the office, does it matter if she hates you?

Better odds getting laid with A lot of the hot ones taking the original direct asshole approach imo
FIFY
He says he likes them because they do a good job blocking out distractions, but he can still, say, hear his phone ring.
I never hear them bleed sound.

Another office menace: wifi headsets. Now we have people roaming around on their phone calls talking loudly with no regard for other people. I put a chair in the way of one who passed a good 10 times in 5 minutes the other day. Message was apparently received.
I'll go you one better. Grab your phone and put it in your lap. When the incessant talking gets too much, one-touch tile your OWN desktop direct line and then shrug at them and say, "I should probably take this." They'll leave. Done it a million times and it works.
one touch "dial", not 'tile'
These two have cubes that face each other, and the cube walls end at your shoulders, so they stare at each other every day. Last month, one of them asks me if she could get a second monitor because it'll help her review multiple spreadsheets and email addresses. There's absolutely a need for it, but I knew the real reason was to build a wall so she couldn't see the other co-worker. I get the monitor, and it's on the shorter side, so her eyes still peer over. A few days later, she comes over with a monitor stand, so I burst out laughing. Now, she's basically built an additional wall to avoid the other guy.
Some sort of plutonium in her coffee.
Work is just what it is...work. Whi cares? Do not take it so seriously.

Great way to rise through the ranks and get ahead in your profession.
Your story reminded me that when I was in college and used to Come home on summer break I used to get jobs through a temp agency and this one break it was with the home office of a cruise ship line.
Now this was the second or third time I had worked for them so I knew the people. There was this annoying woman who was Supervisor of Office Services. Now this position was important as this was 1996 and there were 50 on staff travel agents half always working plus 300 corporate workers computers, computers, coffee etc.she was responsible for.
The thing was she was the biggest bitch running and everyone hated her. She then took what I assumed was FMLA leave and did away with her job and folded part of it into travel and the rest into purchasing. When she came back her new title was Supervisor of the Mailroom Storage Closet. I reject my first day back she tried telling one of her former employees what to do and she told her off.
Didn't go well
