There are 2 types of DE's in a 34: an interior DE who plays more like a 3T, and an exterior DE who plays more like a 43DE. Dalvin Tomlinson and B.J. Hill are interior players. McIntosh is a classic exterior (5T) DE in the Calais Campbell mold. 6'5" 290, long arms. I like him in a 1-gap at LDE. He's gets a good jump and has some nice moves including a swim. With Mauro suspended, he could start if his health's in order, but that's also the reason he was a 5th rounder.

That has been the assumption. He is on meds now, I'm guessing they are dialing that in now. Thyroidism is pretty common, as are the treatments.
