- Justus Sheffield is off the DL and starting for SWB tonight
- Tommy Kahnle continues his rehab and is joining SWB.
- Greg Bird is playing for the 3rd straight game at SWB and batting 3rd. Close to returning.
- Clint Frazier is batting 2nd and playing CF for SWB.
Really hope that's the plan sooner then later. I think Gardy would be a fine 9th hitter and Gleyber just might continue to shine as the lead off man getting that extra AB every night and having Aaron Freaking Judge protecting him.

Boone was quoted in an article on Monday that there are no plans to move Gleyber up in the order.
Selfishly, I hate having to wait an hour to see him hit. Â
Let him earn his stripes. Yes, he has been fanfuckintastic so far but baseball is not a linear progression. He'll hit a snag at some point. Let him get through some more MLB pitching. It isn't like we are hurting for offense. Let this play out naturally. What you don't want is puttinh added pressure on him in the leadoff spot, having him struggle, and then move him back out of that spot. He is kicking ass now. Let him ride that out.
Sheffield was expected to be called up at the end of the year Â
at the earliest. It's Chance Adams who has really wet the bed and missed a great chance to be called up and make an impact. He really has regressed and I don't see him being called up for a while. Sheffield has definitely jumped him in the pecking order. I mean Sheffield was always the way better talent but he was behind Adams developmental wise.
I wouldn't do it now either but once he hits 250 ABs or so Â
It should be discussed heavily , and it will. He's at 88 ABs so far , and I agree, let him see more pitching and don't rush it, at all. But if he keeps proving this is him, then eventually mid summer if / when we need a pick me up , maybe we just do the flip flop 1/9 9/1

Now that is interesting!
The tools are there, and when he was drafted , he was also seen as a guy who can play CF
"Clint Frazier is a 2013 OF/3B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Loganville, GA who attends Loganville HS. Extremely strong tightly wound body, 100% quick twitch fiber. Right handed hitter, straight stance, short rock back load, late quick hand hitch to start swing, extraordinary bat speed, very short swing arch, plus/plus raw power without length or effort, patient hitter who sees the ball and explodes on it. 6.42 runner, former third baseman now in the outfield, centerfield tools, has had a tender arm but still showed plus raw arm strength. Five-tool talent and can use them. Good student, verbal commitment to Georgia."

but Ruocco just said Judge leads baseball with most called strikes outside the zone and the Yankees as a team have lead with the most called strikes outside the strike zone.
Somebody needs to go to Joe Torre and pound the table (or whoever is the supervisor of umpires.)
CC on the bump, shaky for sure, but texas isnt a big time hitting team, he should be okay!
Smart to sit El Gary after the cramps, let's hope he's back Friday and keeps raking
I think CC will give us 6 strong innings tonight, 2 ER or less.

All in due time. I like Gardy's speed in front of Judge. I think he may get to lead off after ASB.

That's good to know
Somebody needs to go to Joe Torre and pound the table (or whoever is the supervisor of umpires.)
Didn't he just come off DL?
Probably on a pitch limit.

3 hits and no runs. Don't know why he didn't pitch beyond he fourth.
Didn't he just come off DL?
Yes
yea been saying it.
def need AT LEAST one by deadline.
we have some serious question marks in the rotation...this isnt a good offensive team we are playing either
his two strike hitting is AMAZING, something you dont see out of such a young kid.
he is a star in the making
