Gleyber Torres (21 years, 163 days) is the youngest player to homer in four straight games since Miguel Cabrera in 2004 (20 years, 362 days).

I don't follow baseball. I see it on ESPN and online. It's pretty scary that the Yankees are playing so well & Didi is in a high slump and Stanton doesn't seem to have reached his potential either.
My concerns with this team considering they didnt add a big time SP remain.
Playoff baseball is a totally different animal. Pitching is king. Not worried about the pen or long relief (despite some inconcsistency). But we need another dominant SP who will match zeroes with much deeper staffs like Houstons.
Ohtani wasnt coming here so you cant blame Cash for that one but the Cole miss looms large. Houston has now ponied up 2x first Verlander (which got them last years World Series) and now Cole.
We needed to get Cole even with an overpay. We have an embarrassment of riches of hitting. Giving up both Andujar and Frazier plus an Adams or Montgomery would have been worth it. Why? Because wed be a better overall playoff constructed TEAM with Cole but not those guys.
That can change things but Cole was young and cost controlled. I just dont see us beating Houston with our current starters. Playoffs are almost never about outhitting but outpitching the other team.
and busy with school, I can't keep up with baseball as much as I have in the past.
Who are the potential arms this year Cash might be able to swing before July 31? I agree with the above poster regarding Cole.
Cole Hamels is the guy I'd go for, won't cost a lot and is proven.
All the studs aren't available and I don't wanna trade the farm for a guy like Fulmer. Would rather reward Texas handsomely for Hamels when we want him

Judge in the OF
Sevy the Ace
4 super young stud pillars on each level of the team. All on a HoF trajectory
Ball one on Pujols was a strike...
But then, Gleyber
But then, Gleyber
Was thinking the same thing. And he's not the only one with pop ups...
2 runs tonight and win
We'll take it
Done...

We'll take it
When has Chapman ever hit his spots. He just kinda throws toward the plate and lets it go.
Change up was a beauty.
Think Green gets the win. Game was tied when Sevy left.
Quote:
Sevy gets the W, Judge with two big assists, Chappy the four-out save, and Gleyber the hero.

Yeah, Green got the win.
Judge...holy shit. That second assist was more impressive th a the first. Completely effortless. And an absolute hose from deep in the corner.

Especially next time a Red Sox pitcher throws a bean ball.
Are Didi and Stanton going through a slump right now?
...but was that guy out at home plate on Judge's throw?
He looked safe to me.

He was definitely out. The glove got the clear well before the foot was near the plate
Don't know what's going on with Didi. Just a slump? Injury?Personal issue? Looking over his shoulder for trade? (Machado)
He probably was just due a slump. He really hasn't had one since the first few weeks as a Yankee. I miss his perpetual smile.
