Something to monitor today: Teams have until 4 pm to decide if they're going to tender restricted free agents. Giants have interesting decisions with WR Isaiah Hodgins and CB Nick McCloud.
The lowest tender amount is a one-year, $3M contract with no guaranteed money. Both are useful players, but the Giants may view $3M as a bit rich. Do they tender just to ensure they keep quality depth pieces? Do they try to sign them for cheaper? We'll know in a few hours.

I've attached the possibilities, confirmed by an earlier Giants.com free agent primer.

$3M seems just fine for him.
I can be sold either way on Hodgins, but would likely Tender him as well.
basically buy 1 extra cheap year in return for some actual guaranteed $.
something like 2 years, 4.5m with 2.5m guaranteed.
1.5m signing bonus
year 1 = 1m gtd base (1.75m cap #)
year 2 = 2m base (2.75m cap #)
for guys who haven't made any real money yet, i think it would be hard to pass up 1.5m cash in their bank accounts tomorrow and 2.5m total guaranteed. they've both been waived before.
i think that's a better outcome for both parties.

The #Giants are working to bring back some of their restricted free agents, which include TE Lawrence Cager, WR Isaiah Hodgins and CB Nick McCloud, per sources. The lowest tender has ballooned to just about $3 million.
The new league year begins today at 4 p.m. (EST).
This
With the CB room being so thin, McCloud is an underrated depth player
But I'm sure they will evaluate that 3m vs investing in an upgrade
Banks, Flott and Hawkins need some bolstering
Is Aaron Robinson even a real person?
Darnay Holmes? Time to move on

If they’re “working to bring back” RFA’s, then they’re not tendering. Tender contracts are set. You tender or you don’t. Nothing has to be negotiated or “worked on”. Tells us they are trying to get at least some of them signed to a contract below the tender amount.

McCloud is a good ST player, and can be an effective 5th DB. If available, invite Hodgins to camp, if someone signs him, so be it.

lol at the Aaron Robinson comment
He's versatile and a gamer. $3m is well spent on him!
because he played in Buffalo
