With the Giants acquiring Banks, Azeez may be a luxury that they cannot afford.
Both Banks and Thibs are three-down players who rarely leave the field. Ojulari may have more value for a team who is looking for a pass rusher.
Ojulari when healthy can supply pressure. In 35 games that he has played in over (3) years, Ojulari has 16 sacks.
He can still be a good situational pass rusher.
He is in the last year of his rookie deal and will only be paid $1,580,000.
That is great value.
Likely, Azeez will not be with the Giants after this year as the Giants cannot tie that much money into edge defenders.
What value does he offer and what could the Giants get in a trade? Cold his trade help facilitate a trade up get a QB?
if Thibs or Burns miss time we will have him as a great 3rd pass rusher
Nobody would trade better than a 5th for Ojular, IMO. He's not been healthy, ever.
Ojulari can be a good part of this: I think we should keep him.

I agree with this.
Also, what do you think you would get for him?
Exactly. He should stay healthy HOPEFULLY with less snaps. He has shown he can produce in smaller spourts playing time wise so this should be more ideal for him and the team.
What I am hoping for is that we get legitimate DEs for whatever scheme we run (3-4 or 4-3). Burns may be considered for a DE in 4-3, but personally I'd like to see both him and KT as OLBs.
He has little trade value right now and he's cheap.

In case you didn't notice, I am not partial the EDGE title/position.
But what is his value?
Here is a comparison between two players.
AO (23, 6'-3" 240 lbs) 3-years -35 games 77 tackles 45 solos 16 sacks
X (25, 6'-3" 255 lbs) 4-years -54 games 55 tackles 31 solos 17.5 sacks
Player X has been on IR with an ankle injury, IR with a back injury, and has missed time due to an oblique injury. Yet he just signed a 3-year contract $51,000,000 contract.
This player is Bryce Huff. I think that Huff and Azeez have had similar careers and this establishes Ojilari's potential value.
That said, I felt similarly in 2004. I thought Eli was the best guy in the draft. But, I would have stayed put and taken Roethlisberger. Once they made the deal, I was 100% on board because they still got the best QB in the draft. I believed that then and still do.
RD1, 2 or 3 pick = yes
RD4 - I'd consider it.
RD 5-7 = no
It is rare when he plays a game that he actually finishes it. And even if he does, he most likely will be on the injury list the next week and be limited in varying fashion. An asset that you can't rely upon isn't really an asset.

This, to the point where I wouldn't mind if we drafted Dallas Turner.
As to his unreliability, are his injuries of the type that are likely to recur, or has he just been unlucky? Injury-proneness is a fallacy, except for hamstrings. And concussions are more likely in a person who has had them before.
What about a rotation on the line?
Also and most importantly ..
His trade value would barely be a 6th rounder. Is that worth giving away a 1 year cheap depth piece that has performed at a high level when healthy?
No offense but trading him would be asinine.
Azeez is playing great
And a team needs an Edge
And the Giants season is cooked
Then trade
Else
let him play out the string
End If
if Thibs or Burns miss time we will have him as a great 3rd pass rusher
I could totally see this happen (performance wise)
Agreed.
I'll go out on a limb and say this defense could make a huge, huge leap up if it generates heat from multiple angles with Burns, Lawrence and Thibs with Ojulari playing a lot as well.
The potential is there I think so you pray for a great draft, a good healthy camp and some luck.
