Too much is never enough. Eric has 20 or 30

offensive linemen listed on the roster. I take this to mean that ALL of them are SUSPECT.

I predict the Giants will trade down and take an offensive tackle.

I have plenty of experience. The only Giants first round pick I ever hoped for was TE Derek Brown, in 1992. What a disaster he was! After that, I stopped picking college players for the Giants to draft.
I don't think

Andrew Thomas is suspect.

not all of the people on the roster page are signed, meaning a number of them won't be back.

I'll clean up the roster after another week or two of free agency when it becomes more clear who won't be back.

Derek Brown was one of those "sure things" that wasn't... just like Evan Neal.

"trade down"

I don't think the this regime would risk the dollars and draft assets to whiff twice in three years on a top OL prospect. It's a deep draft.

However, I don't see them taking OL in the first two days. They've potentially corrected their previous flaw in putting too many young, inexperienced players on a flakey starting roster. Get real NFL players on the field. Rookies are not NFL players. Very few guys show up and hold their own without a lot of good play happening directly adjacent to them.

Early returns on Evan Neal are atrocious, but his full story is yet to be written. (I need to hold out hope for SOMETHING.)

I thought Josh Rosen was a sure fire franchise QB. I wanted the Giants to draft him.
I was so wrong about Rosen.
I also thought Derek Brown was going to be a good TE.

And I thought Sam Darnold was.

Derek is my neighbor. Great guy. Huge person. He had a 9 year career, unfortunately he didn’t live up into the 14th overall selection.

"He'd look great in Giants blue, hope they get him," it was Terry Kinard.

I was right about the player.

I can't remember really having much of a strong opinion one way or another about players since. I may have, but I don't remember.

I thought Brock Purdy was an interesting prospect to take what is now the Tommy De Vito developmental-QB roster spot and I was hoping the Giants would take him. I was half right, anyway.

Me too, wrong. Ron Dayne, Heisman winner anyone? Nope. Sy, rest easy, I have no ability whatsoever in evaluating players, which is why I can support whatever QB Giants draft. Guaranteed I'd pick the wrong one.

Wanting Derek Brown to make it to us. Think that was the first draft I had pre selected who I wanted.

Got hooked on the draft the year before with the rocket Ismail drama and Todd Marinovich.
