Wondering if anyone has changed his/her tune now that we know how our season panned out and how we've been precluded from drafting Caleb Williams and possibly the other highly-touted QBs (or, at the very least, will have to pay an arm an a leg for the privilege to do so).
Knowing what we know now, would you still not root for losses?

The difference between the easy way vs the right way.
People need to be reminded that a large group on BBI wanted the Giants to lose Tiki's last game so the Giants would miss the playoffs and get TC fired. They won, then lost to Phi in the WC game. People here were pissed that TC stayed. I, for one, am glad they didn't get what they wanted.
I was really down on Dabs last year. I thought the team had quit on him. They ended up fighting hard to wrap up the season. That was very important in my book.
One the Giants have been suffering from for more than a decade. The top QB in the draft could have been the medication to cure the disease.
And today I wish they hadn't
I think we should have stuck it out with DeVito since Taylor wasn’t coming back. Hyatt should have been starting and getting gameplanned into action. The corners and safeties should have been switched out. Why play Jackson instead of the young guys who are the long term future?
It’s not tanking, it’s preparing for the future.
They kind of did their thing and yet still won a few worthless games. I don’t suggest they needed to tank because that can’t really happen. But why couldn’t they have kept DeVito playing? Taylor wasn’t being re-signed and certainly wasn’t our future anyway so what the hell was the point to let him play instead?
Schoen shot himself in the foot by giving Jones that contract. Daboll shot the other foot by not playing out the string with DeVito.
And now we are a team in desperate need of a QB but we are outside looking in at the top 3 guys. The NYG need luck to get out of this hole.
Last time we were "in position to grab a franchise QB" at #2, we drafted a RB.
Try to win every game you can. It's the GM's job to assemble the team.

By the start of next season I won’t remember some random win they got against Green Bay in December. This team is gonna turn over much of its roster this offseason, so there’s no “cultural” benefit to it either. Top three pick - whether kept or traded - can go a long way.

Who was that franchise QB in 2018?
Baker. No
Darnold No
Rosen No
Josh Allen Yes. But no one had him as the franchise QB
Same for Lamar

...get the logic.
Lose more, and get a great QB (potentially) in the draft.
Tough to argue with that.
But for me, it is impossible to sit there watching the game and rooting for the jints to lose. Especially when they are playing Washington.
No way I'm rooting for Washington to win.
But no judgement either way, and to each their own."
2. Chase young vs Andrew Thomas
Draft picks aren't guaranteed, having the rights to draft Williams doesn't guarantee success, he can flop just as easily as Drake Maye, Bo Nix or Michael Pratt. So losing to move up just to get one guy is foolish.
On top of that, in an organization that desperately needs stability, if we went 3-14 we'd be looking for another coach and GM with Mara looking for someone who thinks they can once again "revive" Daniel Jones.
Winning the games we did was good for the organization. It helped the remaining players remain bought into the coaching staff, it allowed us to properly evaluate our roster of the final stretch and it kept a coach in place for year 3 which hasn't happened since Tom Coughlin.
If the Giants really want one of these QB's, they'll still get him.
At the same time, I must be a closet Eagle fan because I want them to lose every game. That way, they will be a dynasty.
Once the season was lost, I was rooting for draft position. The reason being, I feel it would be best for the long-term future of the team.
Yea, we all get it - there are no sure things in the draft. However, finding a true franchise QB is the most important factor in returning this team back to being a perennial contender. The odds of finding that franchise QB increase dramatically with a premium draft position.
As a result, I just avoid watching games, and pay little attention to the team when it is clearly the time to tank.
Losses have consequences too.
