2. his motion has become more efficient since the season ended. Clearly he has been working on it.
3. His issues when throwing left (opening up his hips too quickly), look better, but still needs more work.
He seems very calm and its clear he has been putting in the work to improve. Also the added weight and muscle he has put on, isn't affecting his throwing, which tells me he will end up playing in the 220s as he matures.
I don't think he ends up being QB4 for what its worth.
Maye will look good at his Pro day, so these 4 guys are going to be ranked pretty close together.
This is NOT the ususal situation where you are "left with" QB3 or 4. Its more the case of which of these guys fits what you want to do on offense. And do ANY of these guys have a high enough grade to either take at 6 OR move up for.
we rank players vertically. When most teams do not do this exclusively.. They assign grades to players and place them in in tiers. And as you can see some of these players are graded REALLY close together 33rd Team draft board - ( New Window )

Agree about the unfounded love for draft picks. Every year, most draft picks fail to pan out. People blame the GM for lousy drafting, but that's true for every draft year and almost every team. It's how the draft works. It's a crapshoot, always, and in the end, the house always wins.
I was wondering about this too, suprisibg that I think he didn't. He reportedly ran a 4.48 before Michigan season started this year. Best guess is he prioritized putting on muscle mass vs running the 40. I can't help but think a good 40 time wouldn't have hurt his status, even if it only helped a bit. I guess his 40 was slower than he was hoping after the muscle mass gains?

That's silly to value some blogger over a guy like Randy Mueller whom was a 2 time BFL GM with over 2 decades of NFL front office experience. Mueller has JJM as 2nd qb in the draft fyi
