This should get a rise out of the pro-McCarthy camp, they have no QB trade ups and he falls to 11 to the Vikings. Seems unrealistic to me.

The problem with Penix isn't his ability
If the Giants drafted Penix in round 2 or 3 it would be apparent very quickly who the best QB on the team is, and it would be hard to explain keeping him on the bench.
Pennix had one of the best pass pro lines in the league a blue chip surefire top guy in Odunze and a wr whom is underrated and will be picked in the NFL draft as well in Jalin McMillan. Along with a good rungame. You could argue the opposite, if JJM was on Washington he could be the 2nd pick easily. Pennix will fall due to his age and 4 major surgeries. If you take away the age and injuries, he's a top pick.

No he isn’t. It’s not about college production. It’s about projecting to the next level. Scouts don’t look at stats. They look at how it translates. Penix below average athlete. Injury history. Benefited from college rules of wide hashes leaving much more room to the field side. When he was forced to throw into tight windows he failed. There’s a reason Rome was the best 50/50 ball catcher in the nation. The wider hashes is why many college qbs look great and when they get to the next level they can’t do it. Also penix didn’t use the middle of the field often. It was all out wide.

Not me.I've been saying Rattler in the 2nd round for the past couple of weeks, but BBI keep saying he's a head case. I've seen him play alot this past season behind a terrible Oline.Played pretty well in the SEC mind you.Would love for the Giants to get him.

It's been a long freakin' time. I would not be upset with this pick IF they also can somehow pull of drafting Penix or Nix.
Fish. Penix's arm is unreal. Although subject to some stretches of inaccuracy. JJM is very quick and elusive in the pocket and throws well on the run. I agree Penix would've put up even better numbers with the talent JJM had. I'm not in either the JJM or Penix camp. Although both are talents. I think sticking at 6 and getting a top WR is the play. We need the rest of our draft capital for other positions, including QB.

Yes, I think Eleumanor is a very underrated signing. He is a good RT and a solid RG, but better at RT. If Schdabka can't get a QB they want in rd1 I'd trade our 2nd and 3rd to nab Pennix in the back of round 1 absolutely (if he is there).

The Rattler love is baffling. Maybe as a good backup/spot starter. Nothing more.
