This may have been posted/ talked about before, IDK. I wish to refer to a Big Blue View article at the end of January about Nix called 2024 Draft Quarterback Deep Dive: Bo Nix, QB, Oregon. I believe it is a thorough evaluation and assessment.
As I have stated in the past for months, I am a JJ McCarthy fan. With all the apparent interest and competition for draft slots in the top 5; like many Giant fans, I am concerned that it is unlikely the Giants move into slots 1-5. After reading about Bo Nix and watching film/highlights, I am inclined to say that he is a franchise QB. The article is very detailed. I especially appreciate his ability in pre-snap read. His athletic ability, arm strength, not “happy” feet in the pocket and ability to run with his head up looking to pass, etc. all appear to be good attributes necessary for the Giants. He has played against some tough competition during his college career as well.
I am not saying the Giants necessarily draft him at 6. The Titan, Falcons, Bears, Jets and Vikings are candidates for trade, but beware of the Raiders and Broncos.
So, what does the Giants fan community think? Here is the link:

Just like 1983 … 1 consensus best (Elway), a very good one (Kelly), 3 others (O’Brien, Eason, Blackledge) and 1 (Marino) who was absolutely great, but never got a ring. And Marino was the second to last pick in round 1.
trade up at 3-4-5: only for Drake Maye
trade up end of round 1 for a QB: none
Round 2 potential: Penix or Nix ... I don't wait either
Day 3: Jordan Travis (noodle arm but I like him, good attitude/leadership), Joe Milton round 5 (can run, strong arm, maybe we can coach him up in 2 years)

Jordan Travis has anything but a "noodle arm".

We should all know by now what a non-dynamic QB at #6 looks like...
If we were to trade down further or take Nix in round two, that would be a good risk.

Not really sure what is non dynamic about JJM. I see a plus everything with him including a hunger and ability to win games by what is working. He has franchise QB written all over him. Nix I agree with.

What does the bold mean?
McCarthy seems to have a plus arm, and he seems fairly athletic. But I don't see anything spectacular.
Caleb? Great arm, great off-script, great at shouldering the burden of his team.
Daniels? Great quickness and turn off foot. Great downfield accuracy. Great off-script.
Maye? Great size and arm, really good variety of throws, really good improvisation skills, and a very good athlete.
Look, maybe you are right on McCarthy, and he is the hidden gem in this class. I just don't have the imagination to get there.
Looking at the metrics on PFF he actually has a higher under pressure rating than any of the other top 6. 90+ rating.
As I said "inclined". The point of the post and the associated article is to get input from other Giants fans. I, personally, am not ready to select Nix at 6. The #1 WR candidates are there. But if we could trade down a little bit and still get him; plus get additional draft picks, e.g. 2nd round or more, then I would be willing to consider pulling the trigger on that.

Just saying that finding and drafting a decent NFL QB is hard enough. Therefore, if you are even inclined to suggest that Nix is a "franchise QB" then he has attained a level where you don't wait to obtain him. If he is on the board when you pick then you grab him. You don't trade down, even a little bit.

and everyone has a different favorite.

Marino's nickname in college was "the coke machine" and it wasn't because he didn't like Pepsi. But everyone knew his talent. The USFL picked him 1st overall in their 1st draft in 1983. He slipped in the NFL draft due to the drug concerns, else he likely would have gone just after Elway, who was the consensus #1 even though he didn't want to go to Baltimore (like Williams to Chicago?).
You might be close however on the number of QBs in round 1. I think Nix sneaks in later in Round 1 and maybe Penix right at the end too because teams will want that extra year for a 1st round pick.

It means that if he has to call a run 32 times in a row to win a game he will.

no. Deer in headlights under pressure. Not what the Giants need at all IMO. I wouldn't touch him, Maye, or Penix with a 1st round pick regardless of trade down.

PFF won’t show you him dropping his head when pressure is coming. A terrible trait for a QB.
