Chance Giants will be playing in Germany

Am I reading into this that we are playing in Germany this year?

I know we are supposed to play in Carolina and they have been confirmed to be playing in Munich.

Was hoping to take a trip to Carolina for the game.

I would bet that the Giants play Carolina in Munich this year. With the marketing deal announcement, it pretty much sealed the deal imo.

In addition to NFC South opponents, the Panthers have home games against Dallas, us, KC, Los Angeles Chargers, Arizona, and Cincy.

Since KC played Miami abroad last year I doubt they would send them there again. Chargers and Arizona might be tough because it would be awfully long trip from west coast to Germany. That leaves Cincy and us. I think Cincy might be more attractive if they are looking for quality product to get more viewing.

Giants Carolina in Munich? Isn’t the point of playing overseas to expand the popularity of the game? With those two teams, a lot of Germans will be like ‘This game sucks.’

From my view that would absolutely suck …

We’ll be in Munich for week 1 and 2, before the insanity of Oktoberfest, hoping to see a Bundesliga game. Was looking forward to the 3 hr drive to Charlotte later on in the season to see our heroes.

seems like a possibility and these trip always have major other schedule implications in terms of bye, home games before or after etc.

Games that matter played outside the USA are an affront to the fan base who are deprived of a chance to see their teams play where they should be playing - in front of their HOME TOWN fans.

It's just one more BIG reason why I am losing interest in the NFL.

I also agree with 103, but living overseas it was great to see the game in London.
We had a great time.
If we can get tickets to Munich, we're going.
