I dont think he took Parsons off the board , I felt that was Judge. But maybe... "not with this group" = the last group? I guess I can see that. Someone should ask him.

multiple, probably dozens of former EXECs and current insiders have all said with certainty that every single HC to coach this franchise has a lot of say when it comes to personnel, both in the draft and FA. EVERYONE that has a voice worth listening to has said this at one point or another.
Not one voice has ever said Mara makes many if any personnel calls here at all. HE has some say and of course will veto certain moves based on finances or even PR, but I think many here are over selling Mara's so called "influence" and again, the take saying he has much influence at all has not been corroborated once while underselling how much influence the HC has here.
Every time a player fails here this place goes after Mara and the GM. Never do I see a take that questions the HC. I think some here need to consider the HC more than they do, especially since so many have confirmed that the HC carries weight here.

Might as well. Mara is the new pin cushion for all our problems. DG is gone so BBI needs a new villain. Whatever you do, don't blame the HC or GM.
