LSU star WR Malik Nabers had dinner with Giants last night + met with Patriots, Titans, Jets & Jaguars yesterday ahead of today’s Pro Day, per sources. He will meet with Cardinals post-workout today.
Nabers, a projected top-10 pick, will run the 40 & routes for NFL teams today.
If he runs 4.3 or better it will be interesting to see if he goes before MHJ.
Not me. Depending on the QB. He'd be a great pick.

Agree
His quick-twitch is easily noticed.
A true #1 WR will improve all the other WRs.
Before, I get assaulted here.....I am.fine if they draft a QB.....
I just do not want to give up 2025 1st.....as that can very easily be a top pick.
Robbie, what's your favorite thing about Neighbors?

The jewlz of Tommer. He rocks them better than Davoli. Although, I think Nakeem Hicks was the best.

The 1981 or 2014 film?
1. 4 QBs and MHJ were picked in the top 5
2. Giants will pick Nabers
Clearly I jest, but am still concerned.

Unless the Vikings trade into the #3 slot.
Me too! This WR draft is insane.
Provided he doesn't change once he hits the NFL I'm sure a lot of people will love his personality. Very nice person. Very humble and softspoken that has that killer instinct inside of him. I guess privately/between mutual friends the Texas A&M DBs were running their mouth about locking him up, because he only had 69 yards against them in 2022. He had 6 catches 120 yards and 2 TDs that game. With that said let's go get a QB!!!

One of the collest things I saw about Nabers was this if I am getting it right. Nabers would have broken the all-time school record for receptions and/or yards. His teammate blocked someone in the back, I think, which negated him breaking the record. When asked about it, he totally stood up for his teammate saying he's busting his ass out there trying to help the team out and it is what it is. It wasn't even like a, "man, I was so close" type of answer. It was straight looking out for his teammate.

Yup. This isn't a Cedric Jones type situation.
If they can't get the QB, I would be thrilled with Nabers as a consolation prize. If they found a way to get back into the first and then get a Nix or Penix (which I think is unlikely) I think that would be a huge step forward for this team.
#NYGiants contingent in full force at LSU Pro Day as expected. I’m told dinner with WR Malik Nabers last night and will meet with QB Jayden Daniels later today, per sources.

Yes, #Giants GM Joe Schoen is at LSU Pro Day.
My understanding is Brian Daboll will be there, too.

Not this Giants fan.
A couple of things. Ultimately I agree with you but we don't know that Schoen solved the OL yet. I would not say WR is our biggest need over QB but it definitely is up there. Also, if we trade up for a QB, I find it hard to believe thay we still have pick 47. Obviously it depends on where we move up to but I wouldn't assume we would have 47 if we trade up.

Nabors makes the Giants better, no rookie qb makes the Giants better!
Yep. Qb is the most important position, but it’s not the only position. The idea that teams need to self-immolate until they have a “franchise qb” is wearing very thin on me. Lottery tickets on rookie qbs are just that, lottery tickets. Make the team better.

and the Giants don't trade up, it likely means two things:
1. 4 QBs and MHJ were picked in the top 5
2. Giants will pick Nabers
Unless the Vikings trade into the #3 slot.
Not sure that has any impact, as the Vikings would just be selecting a QB at 3 instead of NE.
If AZ or LAC trade out it almost certainly means that someone is taking QB-4 at either pick 4 or 5.
Schoen didn't solve for two of these in Free Agency.
He may have solved for the lousy OL play. WR not really addressed. Future QB not addressed.

Problem is they don't currently have a QB. Jones and Lock are not it, any of the top 4 QBs instantly are the best on the team
Yipee !
Also - every wonderboy WR can also bust in NFL but fans already have them in Canton .

The idea that JJ McCarthy or Drake Maye are going to come in on Day 1 and instantly give the team more than Daniel jones or drew lock will give the team seems like a dicey proposition at best. To say it as a known fact in March seems laughable to me.
Personally, I have two thoughts about the draft:
1) There are, on average, about 5 Hall of Famers in every draft class. Give me one of those. At #6 overall, I want greatness. That's more important to me than position. A lot of fans overthink this. I'd rather have a HoF tight end or safety than a solid, average starting QB or WR.
Does that mean I would draft Brock Bowers at #6? I don't have the benefit of scouts or a draft board, I'm just a fan sitting behind a keyboard, so I don't know. But if Brock Bowers is a best player on their board, even considering positional value, they should screw what we fans think and get him. Same for any other player who doesn't fit an obvious need. You always "need" a great player. You don't really "need" an average one. And average players are very useful. You need a lot of them. But you don't need to get them with the #6 overall pick.
2) Just win, baby. Winning cures a lot of ills.
Been saying this for months, with all due respect I am taking everything asshats have said about QB with a grain of salt. Minn moving up guarantees the Giants a blue chip WR prospect.
Odunze is good, but Nabers fits the bill of what they want. Explosive, separation ability, and YAC. Just look at the guys they’ve brought in since Dabs arrived - Wan’Dale, Hyatt, Beasley, McKenzie, Campbell. The only outlier is Hodgins, a Ps signing they knew from Buffalo (and did not value enough to tender at $2.9m)

I guess that means they look for a QB in the 2025 draft if they don't like one of the day 2 or lower tier QBs this draft.
Lock is signed as a one-year backup, he has ZERO bearing on their QB future, cmon, THINK.

Is your preference still a trade up if possible for a QB?

For Maye, yes, not for JJ, I'd go Odunze or Nabers (or Turner) if Maye is out of reach.
As a potential "gold jacket" skill player, he intruiges me far more than Barkley did in 2018.
Eli was at best, pedestrian in 2013
OBJ comes on board in 2014, and Eli had one of his best statistical seasons.
Simply b/c of how much the league is QB centric now. Its virtually impossible to win big w/o a good or plus QB now.
No more defense led Bronco teams or even those Ravens teams.
Its QB or bust.

Unless your team is stacked like SF and they can plug and play QBs.
