The draft can’t come soon enough. Anybody else change their mind seemingly every hour? I was all in on QB, now I wouldn’t mind Nabers or Harrison Jr. I think I decided that any of the qbs, Nabers or Harrison jr. and I will be happy on draft night.
I was bummed for a bit that both Daniels and Williams are almost certainly out of reach. (Giving up a boatload of futures to move up has always been unpalatable to me).
I'm becoming more and more at peace with the fact that the "worst case" scenario may very well be Nabors or MHJ.
To me, the real downside case is that 3 QBs are taken and both WRs are taken, and we're looking at JJ. I really don't know what to think of him, and my biggest hope for this scenario is that someone would be eager to move up and snag him, and we actually add current/future picks.
I usually feel like we are just missing out by 1-2 picks, but my feelings on this draft are trending toward a feeling that we are right on the fringe of prime territory.
I'd really be pulling my hair out if we were #7 in this particular draft. To me, it feels like 7 through ~early teens is a pretty flat tier.
But as your OP hits on the nose...I'll probably feel differently by lunchtime.
And it’s because of the fact that in order to get the QB you may have to give up pick 47, which I am hesitant to do.
I think getting a new, young WR on this team is important. So drafting one of the top 3 @6 and keeping our other picks is also a very smart thing for a team that needs so much talent.
But if you can get the QB position to be a major strength on your team and you are in a position to do so, you have to take it. I would hate to give up a 2025 first round pick as well.
So I change my mind a lot.
But I think at the end of the day one of JJ McCarthy, Drake Maye, Rome Odunze or Malik Nabors will be a Giant.
I’ll leave the QB decision to the guys in charge. Whether they draft one who falls or move up to get one. Taking that out of the equation I go back and forth every day over who I’d rather between Nabers and Odunze.
At this point I’ve realized I’d be thrilled with either one, and if no QB, I hope it’s one of them at 6.
Being that Daniels is probably not realistic, I have thought about other QBs and I am not crazy about any of them.
It would be difficult to not get excited about one of the top 3 WRs.
One of the scenarios that I have thought about is trading back back and taking Brock Bowers. Then using that extra draft capital to trade back into the 1st (mid to late 20s) to take Adonai Mitchell or Brian Thomas Jr. I give this a low % chance of happening but if a QB is not the pick, I would like this scenario.

There are 4 QBs and 3 WRs that are projected to go in the top 10 picks. Get one of them and I am happy, I don't pretend to have a more educated opinion on which one is best than our front office does.
Yesterday I listened to a podcast with John Schmeelk
and NFL.com draft analyst Eric Edholm (the Giants Huddle Podcast March 26 Episode) and the draft guy went into great detail about the incredible depth at wide receiver in the second and third rounds, particularly. Just suppose that with the way that the quarterbacks fall off after the first four, and now I feel like I’m swinging towards taking a quarterback at six if one is there. Then getting what this guy referred to as “85% the talent of one of the top guys” in a different receiver in the second round.
within reason, but yes. Unless you're a scout or GM and you've done so much work already, by now (post pro days) you should know who is the best fit. We don't but we can certainly try.
I don't trust anyone who won't change his or her mind.
Nothing new has occurred with any of the QB prospects since watching
Daniels, Williams, Maye are top guys I would like the Giants to somehow get their hands on.
Nix and Penix should have warning signs on their backs. And JJ McCarthy has very little special in his game despite Michigan winning the championship. All three might hear their names called on Day 1 but that is more a function of NFL desperation versus their respective games.
I don't invest in it, because what I think, or what I want, or would do doesn't matter at all.
All I have is: what I think the Giants will likely do. And my best guess (given all the circumstances) is they probably draft a WR at 6.
No vacillating. No hand wringing. I'll either be right or wrong about my guess.
After all the top 10 picks they've had of late who have not yet played up to their expectations, all I care about is that the Giants get it fucking RIGHT.
If they trade up for a QB, that player better turn out to be a franchise QB.
If they take a non-QB, that that player better turn out great, too.
Some days I say sit at 6 and you'll get a QB or blue chip WR. Others I want to see us move to 4 to be assured a QB. Then yesterday I thought trade down with WAS and get more picks. Today...I don't know.
That whatever the Giants will do, it will be the wrong decision. Pass on a QB, take Nabers, or another WR, and watch. That QB we passed on will ball out. Take a QB and pass on a Wideout. Watch that wideout go to the pro bowl first season.
We have a pretty terrible track record with high first round picks.
...is giving up next year's #1 pick to trade up. My feelings in general are: if there gonna trade up, they damn well better be right about the guy; whereas if they let the draft come to them, sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't, but at least they didn't blow up this year's draft and a piece of next year's over one prospect.
p.s.--As for trading down, would love it if it meant getting Brock Bowers! That being said, the last time the Giants traded down for a player I coveted, it was Kadarius Toney.
Add draft capital and perhaps even grab Mix at the new later spot...
I'd even entertain 2 trade backs
I run the mock drafts and am blown away at how many holes in the roster can be filled that way
Maye
JJM
(Williams would be after Maye but he will be gone at 1).

Hell, I still want Rosen!!!!

Yup, this is exactly how I feel at the moment.
Maye, Daniels, McCarthy, Harrison, Nabers

You want one of the top 4 QBs, and it doesn't matter what it takes to get one.
If the QB you want doesn't fall to you, you will settle for BPA WR, OL, or TE.
If the QB you want isn't available through trade up, then stay at 6 and take the best available WR.
You want to know who the Giants are intending to draft ahead of time.
You don't want the Giants intentions known to anyone, not even yourself.
You want final approval on whoever the Giants intend to draft.
Maye
MhJr
Nabers
Odunze
I'm good with any of those.
We have a pretty terrible track record with high first round picks.
