The relationship between Taylor and his successors – Lore and Rodriguez – disintegrated over the past two-plus years, sources tell ESPN. Lore/Rodriguez did raise money necessary to purchase controlling interest, but Taylor contends that they didn’t meet contractual deadlines throughout transition.

A-Rod and J-Lo were trying to buy the Mets too, how that work out? In both ways. That was never going to happen a sale to a
'partnership' such as theirs...

Glen Taylor is having sellers remorse. The team is actually competitive for the first time in forever. The owners are going to get a ton of cash from the upcoming media rights deal AND there's going to be a 2 team expansion after that, which will basically give owners a couple hundred million of dollars.

Combine that with the fact that Taylor was selling the team at lower price than he could sell it now, he's obviously just backing out of the deal.

I can't believe I'm writing this, but I think I'm siding with A-Rod & Lore on this. I'm getting strong 'buyers remorse' vibes from Taylor. Not only would the Wolves go for a helluva more than $1.5 billion now-the Hornets just went for $3 billion-they're also a team that should theoretically contend for awhile with a young superstar like Edwards, so they'd be even more profitable. & I'm not even including the coming TV deals & possible NBA expansion.
