They are at Michael's Penix workout in Washington. I expect there may be other staff at Maye's NC workout and they'll probably do a private workout with him.

Giants contingent in Washington includes GM Joe Schoen (right), director of player personnel Tim McDonnell (left) and coach Brian Daboll (not pictured).
Washington QB Michael Penix Jr. expected to throw at Thursday’s Pro Day.

The #Giants have a presence here at UNC today but Brian Daboll went to UW to see Michael Penix. Sources say the team will work out and meet with Drake Maye in the coming days.

A bit of a curveball from Giants with Daboll heading to Seattle for UW. Private workout with Drake Maye is on the docket.
@art_stapleton
So #NYGiants crew headed by Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen that was in Baton Rouge yesterday flew to Washington today rather than the shorter trek to Chapel Hill.
QB Michael Penix will throw. UW also has Rome Odunze - who won’t work out today - WR Ja’Lynn Polk and Jalen McMillan there too.
Giants will see Drake Maye again in private workout. I knew they were going to circle back with Maye, but I assumed it would first be at Pro Day.
This is probably best way to maximize Pro Days, visits and private workouts.

That’s not what this is. They’re going to have a private workout with Maye and he’s already visited the Giants’ facility.
Now things are getting serious...

They need someone to drive the rental car and find a deli.
Yep.

I’m told Ryan Cowden, executive advisor to #NYGiants GM Joe Schoen, is among those in Chapel Hill to watch Drake Maye at UNC Pro Day, per sources.

Dez Walker is there also, but Washington definitely has more talent including Rome Odunze and a lot of OL.
Says you, smartypants. I'm still going to overreact to the next interview when Mara says the sky is blue or doesn't spit on the ground when Jones name is brought up.
That's a lot of time invested pro days and private workouts if they don't have QBs high on their draft board.

starting to suspect that the Giants might be a little bit disingenuous when they say "Daniel Jones is our starter."

Or really the two times everyone has been out have been Daniels and Penix... OR Nabers and Odunze. Were they there for the QBs or were they there for the WRs?

I believe that had a large contingent at Caleb's Pro Day as well.
Private workout > Pro Day (scripted)
He's not working out today. He's there however.

Why the focus on Penix instead of the guy projected to go around 6 overall.

He isn't working out, but he will be catching passes.
Also, it's Tez Walker, not Dez.
One can only hope.
And they may have intel that he will be gone before they pick.
The flipside is, Schoen and Daboll have said they like to spend as much time as possible around the guys they like to see them in different situations and talk to as many people as they can.
There is massive interest here.
They should be clever like Tomlin…
“Daniel Jones is in the Pole Position”
What's so important of being at the track?
And then Rattler in Rd 3.
"You can never have too many QBs."
He will be, unless they’re going to throw a rookie QB right into the fire!

Lock will start the season most likely imo
Yeah, Mr. Dependable he's not.
Health or not, nobody should be perfectly happy with Jones as QB1 for the foreseeable future. Maybe his mom…
Are you okay? Bredan rice, Malik Nabers it’s not just about the QBs. It’s an extra chance to meet with any prospects from those teams. They have done their homework on all qbs. Seeing them throw in shorts in person doesn’t mean much to them. It’s about the interview process and meeting the different potential draft picks. It amazes me how many fans have followed the draft and still don’t get how it works
