Nevertheless, great performance. The 2 acl tears on the right knee are concerning, but I have a feeling he is going to be healthy and have a great NFL career.
he's been really bad at movement within in the pocket and his stats fall off the cliff when he's moved off the spot.
I've only watched a handful of Penix games, he hasn't been a threat outside of the pocket but he does have the lowest sack/pressure rate of all of the QB's; that would suggest to me that he has a pretty good feel in the pocket. Do you see something different?
However with him this is straightline "Jones type" speed, not the Daniels/Lamar/Murray escapability quickness. Still however this was a great day for him

He does move around in the pocket well, as the sack/pressure numbers confirm. The idea that he is a product of his line and receivers is silly.

His pocket movement is a lot better than Daniel Jones and numbers do show he is adept at avoiding sacks. You are driving a narrative that may not be totally true.
does it matter how high a QB can jump without a football in his hands?
40 times, too. Keon Coleman plays faster than his time. Daniel Jones was timed 21.23 mph and one of the faster players in the league and his 40 was less than spectacular. People get too caught up in 40 times for whatever reason.

Indicate a far more explosive athlete than shows up on highlights. He has to be vaulted into the top 5 discussion after this. His low sack numbers and high efficiency are off the charts but he was cast as a statue. He has to be in the discussion at 6 now. I wasn't impressed against Michigan but that's a nasty front and a great team. I can see Daboll unlocking him now. I know people poo poo the vertical but it's a direct indicator of overall body power and explosive potential. 36.5 for a QB thought to be sessile, is a revelation.
Daniels joined them followed more recently by JJ. Now we have a group of 5. Who will go first? Probably Williams. But more importantly, who will be the best nfl qb?

"NYG fans Jones-in for Penix"
"Penix drives it in for NYG"
"NYG Fans Wild for Penix"
"Daboll Raves about Penix, ball control"
"Penix Drawing a LOT of Attention"
Ok that's enough.
For the other side...
"Penix strangled by Cowboys"
Too far?

lol, “Penix with the tush push”
Penix shrivels in the Green Bay cold.
