I’ve seen a great deal of Penix discussion lately.
I think it stems from the thought that NYG would trade back into the first round, or trade out of 6 to a more palatable spot to take him. It would also allow a true day one starter in the top end of this draft.
Ideal…at first I thought so, too.
However, Penix is a lefty, which means our weakest half of the line is protecting his blindside. Evan Neal…Eleumenor!? Joe Alt?
What’s the story there? If you ask me, the least likely place a guy like Penix calls home for the next 4-5 years is NY. Let me know the theory.
Now, the right side is still definitely a problem and needs to be figured out but it isn't like Penix is going to get blind sided because of it.
That would help. Although Neal should also do his job and actually help create a pocket every now and then too.
